L'Oréal Allocates Additional EUR 50 Million to Fund for Women's Empowerment

L'Oréal, one of the world's leading beauty companies, announced that it will allocate an additional EUR 50 million to the Women's Empowerment Fund. It has been decided to extend the fund, which was established in 2020 to respond to social needs heightened by the pandemic, for a further five years, covering the 2026-2030 period.

L'Oréal, one of the world's leading beauty companies, has announced an additional EUR 50 million allocation to the Women's Empowerment Fund. The fund, established in 2020 to respond to growing social needs during the pandemic, has been extended for another five years to cover the 2026-2030 period.

With this new commitment, the company aims to improve the well-being, empowerment and resilience of 5 million women by 2030. The fund focuses on improving the lives of women and girls living in vulnerable conditions.

Support Across Four Core Areas

The L'Oréal Women's Empowerment Fund operates in four main areas: economic empowerment, education, combating violence, and access to sexual and reproductive health services. The company aims to expand its impact by collaborating with civil society organizations in this context.

L'Oréal CEO Nicolas Hieronimus stated that women's empowerment is critical for a more just and sustainable future, and expressed that the fund's renewal aligns with the company's core values.

Ezgi Barcenas, L'Oréal Corporate Responsibility Director, explained that since 2020, the fund has collaborated with more than 500 civil society organizations worldwide and reached more than 6 million women.

Support for Two Organizations from Turkey

Two civil society organizations from Turkey received support under the fund. KAMER Foundation benefited from the fund through its projects targeting disadvantaged and refugee women, while İmece Initiative Association received support through its "Solar Age" and "Back to School in Basmane" projects.

L'Oréal Turkey has continued to expand its social impact by directly reaching more than 33,000 women through these collaborations.
