TRAI Takes Step to Advance Turkey's Artificial Intelligence System
The Turkey Artificial Intelligence Initiative (TRAI), established to increase artificial intelligence awareness in Turkey, develop its ecosystem, and contribute significantly to Turkey's participation in the global AI race, established four advisory boards as of 2021 to consult and advise on its work: Technology, Private Sector, Academia, and Investment. Having held their first meetings, the TRAI Advisory Boards placed on their agenda what can be done to develop the areas of application of artificial intelligence and to disseminate the value it adds.
The Technology Advisory Board was established to follow trends, technologies and innovations in the artificial intelligence world; to determine TRAI's technology agenda and to examine and make recommendations on objectives, targets and priorities for the technology sector. At the first meeting of the TRAI Technology Advisory Board held on 26 January 2021, topics including measuring the impact and economic scope of artificial intelligence, open data sharing, and increasing artificial intelligence awareness were discussed.

The TRAI Private Sector Advisory Board held its first meeting on 27 January.
