November Exports Race Toward Record at USD 15.5 Billion
Exports increased by 9.5% compared to the previous year, reaching USD 15.5 billion November exports reached an all-time high, marking the third-highest monthly export figure on record.
Turkey Exporters Assembly (TİM) Chairman İsmail Gülle stated, "We achieved the highest monthly export in history in October. This time we are pleased to record the highest November export of all time.
With the intensive efforts of our exporters, we are advancing with confident steps towards our year-end target of USD 170 billion. As we take exports to new records, our President announced that we will enter 2019 strongly by launching a new investment and employment mobilization campaign.
We exporters will also support the employment mobilization and focus on increased production and greater exports," he said.
Compared to the same period last year; based on November export data, November exports rose by 9.5% to USD 15.5 billion. Thus, the export figure of USD 14.2 billion achieved in November 2013 was surpassed, reaching the highest November export in history.
Over the course of this year, in the last 12-month period, exports increased by 7.8% to USD 168.1 billion. In the first 11 months, exports rose by 7.7% to USD 154.2 billion. In November, following October and March of 2018, the third-highest monthly export of all time was achieved.
