Major Move in AI Infrastructure: Lake Mariner Campus Preparing for 750 MW

Global energy technology leader Schneider Electric and Motivair by Schneider Electric, which specializes in liquid cooling technologies for digital infrastructure, announced that they are successfully continuing the delivery process of an AI infrastructure solution worth more than USD 290 million for the Lake Mariner data center campus being developed by TeraWulf in the US.

Global energy technology leader Schneider Electric and Motivair by Schneider Electric, specialists in liquid cooling technologies for digital infrastructure, announced the successful delivery of over USD 290 million in artificial intelligence infrastructure solutions for TeraWulf's Lake Mariner data center campus developed in the United States.

The Lake Mariner campus, which will serve major technology companies including Google-backed Fluidstack and Core42, will reach power capacity of up to 750 MW upon completion. Designed for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing (HPC) applications, the campus stands out with advanced energy technologies, integrated power infrastructure and liquid cooling solutions.

Responding to the needs of the artificial intelligence era
Located in the Barker region of New York State, the Lake Mariner campus emerges as a next-generation digital infrastructure center created through the transformation of existing industrial infrastructure. At the campus, Schneider Electric's power management solutions are combined with Motivair's advanced liquid cooling technologies to provide high-performance infrastructure tailored to artificial intelligence and HPC workloads.

Through technical design, engineering support, energy infrastructure, digital monitoring systems and advanced cooling technologies provided by Schneider Electric and Motivair, TeraWulf rapidly increases its artificial intelligence-focused data center capacity while elevating energy efficiency and operational performance to the highest levels.

Zero-carbon energy advantage
The Lake Mariner campus meets its electricity needs from the New York regional power grid, which is fed by zero-carbon sources at approximately 89 percent. This characteristic enables customers to run artificial intelligence applications requiring high processing power on a more sustainable infrastructure.

Sean Farrell: "We are accelerating AI-ready capacity"
TeraWulf Director of Operations Sean Farrell commented on the partnership as follows:

"In a period when artificial intelligence and high-performance computing workloads are increasing, scalable and energy-efficient infrastructure is of great importance. Through our collaboration with Schneider Electric and Motivair, we are accelerating the development of AI-ready capacity at our Lake Mariner campus while establishing strong operational foundations to meet long-term customer demands."

Transformation to artificial intelligence campus in 12 months
Under the project scope, Schneider Electric and Motivair implemented large-scale infrastructure installations within an extremely short timeframe. TeraWulf's existing facility was transformed into artificial intelligence data centers in just 12 months; Schneider Electric Galaxy VX Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Galaxy Lithium-Ion Battery Systems, NetShelter rack and cabinet solutions as well as Motivair's Cooler Distribution Units (CDU), In-Rack Manifold systems and ChilledDoor technologies were deployed.

Additionally, advanced monitoring and digital management infrastructure was established across the facility using Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure IT Data Center Expert software.

Manish Kumar: "Access to energy has now become the biggest barrier to artificial intelligence growth"
Manish Kumar, Vice President responsible for Secure Power and Data Centers at Schneider Electric, stated:

"As artificial intelligence investments are increasing rapidly, access to energy has become one of the most important constraints in the sector. Operators need business partners who can bring together advanced technology infrastructure and expertise to rapidly deploy large-scale artificial intelligence data centers. This project carried out with TeraWulf demonstrates a powerful example of how an existing industrial site can be transformed into a robust, efficient and scalable data center campus tailored to the needs of the artificial intelligence era."
