Akçansa’s Sales Reach TRY 23.1 Billion in the First Nine Months
Akçansa, which continues its operations under the main shareholding of Heidelberg Materials, announced its financial results for the first nine-month period of 2026. According to the results prepared by applying inflation accounting (TAS 29), the company’s sales increased by 4.7 percent compared to the same period last year, rising to TRY 23.1 billion. In the same period, net profit increased by 7.1 percent to TRY 677 million.

There was also a change in Akçansa’s ownership structure with the new period. Following the completion of the mandatory tender offer, Heidelberg Materials’ stake in the company reached 94.8 percent, while the share of publicly held and other shares in the capital became 5.2 percent.

Operational profitability increased in the third quarter
In his assessment of the third quarter of the year, Akçansa General Manager Tayfun Öneş noted that domestic demand remained strong, particularly in the regions where the company operates. Noting that the growth in ready-mixed concrete sales volume was supported by a more accurate product mix and cost discipline, Öneş emphasized that operational profitability was increased.

Öneş said, “In the third quarter of the year, domestic demand remained strong, particularly in the regions where we operate. We increased our operational profitability by supporting the growth in our ready-mixed concrete sales volume with a more accurate product mix and strict discipline in our costs. In the third quarter of the year, we increased our net profit by 45.5 percent compared to the same period last year, raising it to TRY 779 million. The strengthening of our cash generation capability in this period is also a pleasing result for us. In this period where price and cost conditions have come to the fore, we continued to strengthen our profitability and financial resilience by managing our costs and working capital with discipline,” he said.

Modernization process begins at Samsun Ladik Plant
As part of Akçansa’s investment plans, a new phase has been reached in the modernization project planned to be carried out at the Samsun Ladik Plant. The project, which also includes a pre-calcination investment, aims to increase production capacity and improve energy efficiency. The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process for the project has been initiated.

Addressing the priorities of the new period shaped under the main shareholding of Heidelberg Materials, General Manager Tayfun Öneş stated that the aim is to combine global know-how with the company’s local strength to increase operational efficiency and long-term competitiveness.

Öneş said, “While bringing together Heidelberg Materials’ global know-how and experience with Akçansa’s local strength and competencies, our priority is to make our operations more efficient, use our resources effectively, and develop our long-term competitiveness.

Sustainability is also an important part of taking our competitiveness to an even higher level. While our alternative fuel usage rate stood at approximately 22 percent in the first nine months, we reduced our CO₂ emission intensity from 691 kilograms per ton to 674 kilograms. We do not see sustainability as limited solely to our production processes; we also regard creating environmental and social benefit in the regions where we operate as an important part of our responsibility. We continue our efforts in various fields ranging from education to environmental protection, taking into account local needs and aiming to create long-term value. Going forward, we remain committed to advancing the transformation in our operations with an approach that takes into account our environmental and social impact,” he stated.
