Yazgan Tasarım Mimarlık to Hold Exhibition Marking Its 20th Anniversary

Yazgan Tasarım Mimarlık, marking its 20th year of establishment, is organizing an exhibition to present its theoretical and practical approaches to the architecture discipline, selected projects, visuals and models. The exhibition "From the Impact of Architecture to the Knowledge of Architecture / Yazgan Tasarım's 20th Year" will meet audiences at Ankara CerModern between 19 October - 2 November. Yazgan Tasarım is celebrating its 20th year in architectural practice with an exhibition to be held at Ankara CerModern. The exhibition, titled "From the Impact of Architecture to the Knowledge of Architecture / Yazgan Tasarım's 20th Year," will convey Yazgan Tasarım Mimarlık's theoretical and practical approaches to the architecture discipline through selected projects, visuals and models. Over the past 20 years, Yazgan Tasarım has transformed into an international architecture office providing project services in a total of 31 countries. A total of 100 projects with a size of 9,000,000 m2 designed by Yazgan have been constructed and realized. Yazgan continues its knowledge-based designs integrated with nature and architectural research through the "Flexible System Design" approach it has developed for project production. Believing that creativity is not designing the component itself but the relationships holding the components together, Yazgan Tasarım's founders Begüm and Kerem Yazgan will bring together the "Flexible System Design" approach they have developed by combining the theoretical foundation they obtained through long years of research in academia with professional practice, and the projects shaped with this approach, in the exhibition titled "From the Impact of Architecture to the Knowledge of Architecture / Yazgan Tasarım's 20th Year." Operating with a holistic and knowledge-based architectural production approach that combines theory and practice, defining design actions, actors affecting design, components and their relationships in their projects to create a system and operating with an understanding that allows variables to emerge, Yazgan Tasarım will also open for discussion in the exhibition the "Smart Project" approach behind their production—an advanced and integrative approach aimed at linking architecture to today's information age and based on the synthesis of all data for producing architecture. The exhibition "From the Impact of Architecture to the Knowledge of Architecture / Yazgan Tasarım's 20th Year" will meet audiences at Ankara CerModern between 19 October - 2 November, after which it will move to Istanbul.
