Artwist: Artwork Sale Proceeds to Provide Support
As part of İGA's environmental and sustainability initiatives, artworks created through the Artwist 'From Waste to Art' project are being auctioned to support foundations operating for children's benefit.
İGA, which developed the Artwist 'From Waste to Art' project drawing inspiration from the Zero Waste Project, continues its corporate social responsibility work.

In the auction organized by Artam Antik A.Ş. and conducted by Olgaç Artam within the scope of İGA's "From Waste to Art" project, the works titled "Eagle-Bull-Fish" created by Prof. Rahmi Atalay, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Anadolu University, have been put up for sale online. Prof. Atalay, who emphasizes increasing awareness of waste and recycling rather than focusing primarily on waste or recycling themes in his sculptures, carries out work aimed at raising consciousness regarding the relationship between waste and ecological problems. The artworks demonstrate how three-dimensional appearance is achieved through the assembly of many components.Bids accepted until 16 January at 16:00
To participate in the auction, in which proceeds will be donated to charitable foundations, bids must be submitted by 16:00 on Sunday, 16 January. In the auction, artworks will be sold to the highest bidder. The person acquiring the works will make a donation to the designated foundations. Proceeds from the sale of the artworks will be donated to Hope Foundation for Children with Cancer (KAÇUV), Turkey Disabled Sports and Education Foundation (TESYEV) and Inclusive Education Foundation (ENEV). Within the scope of the 2021 Artwist "From Waste to Art" project, the final touches on the Eagle artwork created by Atalay were made by Emine Erdoğan, while the final touches on the Bull artwork were completed by İGA CEO Kadri Samsunlu. The artwork titled "Anatolia" was purchased during the auction at the 2019 launch event when İGA CEO Samsunlu made a bid of TRY 500,000, and all proceeds from the artworks put up for sale during that auction were donated to Child Support Centers (ÇODEM). Eagle: Created by Prof. Rahmi Atalay from wood, the Eagle represents the air layer. The final touches on the Eagle artwork were made by Emine Erdoğan on 16 December 2021 at Ankara Cer Modern. All proceeds from this artwork will be donated to Hope Foundation for Children with Cancer (KAÇUV). Bull: Created by Prof. Rahmi Atalay from wood, the Bull represents the land layer. The final touches on the artwork were completed on 16 December 2021 at Ankara Cer Modern by Kadri Samsunlu. All proceeds from this artwork will be donated to Turkey Disabled Sports and Education Foundation (TESYEV). Fish: Created by Prof. Rahmi Atalay from wood, the Fish represents the sea layer.
