Yorglass, which operates in the glass sector, has converted approximately 90 percent of its vehicle fleet to electric vehicles in line with its sustainability targets. With the transformation, the company aims to reduce its mobility-related emissions by approximately 50 percent.

Yorglass carried out a comprehensive transformation in its vehicle fleet as part of its low-carbon mobility targets. With the transformation, which covers the company's locations across Türkiye, approximately 90 percent of its vehicle fleet now consists of electric vehicles.

As part of the transformation carried out in line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), Yorglass supports the use of electric vehicles through the charging infrastructure it has established at its factories. Through the transition to electric mobility, the company aims to reduce fossil fuel use while achieving an approximately 50 percent decrease in its mobility-related emissions.

Transformation aligned with emission reduction targets
Yorglass's electric vehicle transformation is being carried out within the scope of the company's emission reduction targets approved by SBTi. The company aims to reduce its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 42 percent and its Scope 3 emissions by 25 percent by 2030.

Expanding the use of electric vehicles is among the key priorities of the company's goals to reduce fossil fuel consumption and increase the use of cleaner energy in its operations.

Yorglass Board Chairman Semavi Yorgancılar stated that sustainability has become a determining factor for companies' competitiveness, saying, "Carbon reduction is no longer merely an environmental responsibility; it is also a matter of competitiveness, efficiency and resilience."

Yorgancılar noted that in the future, companies will be evaluated not only by their products and production capacities, but also by how they manage their resources and reduce their carbon footprints.

"At Yorglass, we do not view sustainability as a separate project, but as a natural part of our business. Converting approximately 90 percent of our vehicle fleet to electric vehicles is one of the concrete results of this approach," said Yorgancılar, emphasizing that low-carbon business models are part of the company's long-term strategy.

Incorporated into employees' daily work processes
With the electric vehicle transformation, Yorglass is not limiting its sustainability approach to operational targets alone, but is also incorporating it into employees' daily work processes.

The charging infrastructure established at the factory and other locations stands out as one of the important elements of the transformation aimed at expanding the use of electric vehicles. Through this practice, the company aims to support employees' low-carbon mobility habits.

Over 25,000 tons of waste glass recycled
Recycling also holds an important place in Yorglass's sustainability efforts. According to the company's statement, more than 25,000 tons of waste glass were recycled in 2025.

Yorgancılar stated that the electric vehicle transformation is a continuation of these efforts, noting that carbon reduction needs to be supported not only through technology investments, but also through corporate culture and new habits formed in daily work processes.

Yorglass continues to develop its low-carbon production and operational structure in line with its electric mobility investments and emission reduction targets.
