Bayer Presents Sustainable Viticulture Solutions to Growers in Manisa

Bayer Tarım Ürünleri brought together around 1,000 growers at its Bağ Agro Arena event held in the Alaşehir district of Manisa. The event featured sustainable viticulture practices, integrated pest management programs, biological solutions and digital farming technologies shared with growers.

Bayer Crop Science met with approximately 1,000 producers at the Vineyard Agro Arena event held in Alaşehir, Manisa on 21-22 July. At the event where vineyard cultivation practices were explained in the field, producers received information about solutions developed for productive and quality production as well as sustainable farming practices.
During the event, Bayer specialists introduced the vineyard integrated pest management programme, explaining the advantages of properly timed and correctly dosed applications in combating diseases and pests. The programme's contributions to yield, quality and sustainable production were demonstrated to producers through practical examples.
Residue management and sustainable production took centre stage
At Vineyard Agro Arena, the topic of residue management, which is particularly important for export markets, was also addressed. Bayer specialists shared with participants the applications aimed at reducing residue risks and integrated pest management approaches combining biological and chemical solutions.

Producers observed practices in the field
In the event area, vineyards where Bayer solutions were applied as recommended were displayed alongside areas with no application. This gave producers the opportunity to examine first-hand the effects of timely applications on vineyard health, leaf development and product quality.

Next-generation biological solutions introduced
At Vineyard Agro Arena, Bayer's biological pest management solutions planned to be presented to producers in the coming period were also showcased. In particular, pheromone technology targeting grape moth and the biological pest management approach developed against powdery mildew were among the innovations highlighted in terms of sustainable pest management.
Digital farming technologies met with producers
Bayer's digital farming platforms were also introduced during the event. It was noted that thanks to the FieldView application, producers can monitor their vineyards throughout the season using satellite imagery and digital field data, while the ResiYou solution supports pre-harvest residue management and contributes to production planning.
Safe product use and loyalty programme explained
Throughout the programme, practices on proper and safe use of plant protection products were shared with producers. Bayer specialists conveyed good practice examples on safe use, which is one of the fundamental elements of sustainable production.
Participants were also informed about Winners Club, Bayer's loyalty programme for producers. Under the programme, members earn points from Bayer plant protection products and selected maize varieties to access various benefits.
Bayer Crop Science aims to continue meeting with producers in the field through Agro Arena events and to keep sharing next-generation agricultural solutions supporting productivity, quality and sustainability with the sector.
