Armada Gıda Secures $110 Million Investment Financing

Armada Gıda signed a total of $110 million long-term syndicated loan agreement with FMO and PROPARCO, to be used for financing its planned Armada-4 investment in Mersin and its pulse processing facility investment in Kazakhstan. Under the financing, the company's environmental and social performance indicators are also planned to be monitored and reported.

Armada Gıda, one of Türkiye's leading producers of pulses, grains and value-added food products, has signed a significant agreement for the financing of its long-term growth and investment plans. The company signed a $110 million long-term syndicated loan agreement with FMO (Nederlandse Financierings-Maatschappij voor Ontwikkelingslanden N.V.), the Dutch Development Bank, leading the syndication, and PROPARCO (Société de Promotion et de Participation Pour la Coopération Economique S.A.), the French Development Finance Institution.

With the agreement signed on August 24, 2026, the financing process, whose preliminary agreement was announced to the public on April 28, was formalized. Armada Gıda will use the financing in question for its Armada-4 value-added product processing facility, which it plans to build in Mersin, and for the pulse processing facility investment planned to be established in Kazakhstan.

The company announced the development regarding the loan agreement through a disclosure made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on August 24.

Environmental and social indicators will be monitored under the financing
The syndicated loan covers not only the financing of the company's investment and capacity increase plans, but also the monitoring of environmental and social performance.

Under the agreement, it is envisaged that Armada Gıda's environmental and social performance will be monitored and reported. In this context, it is planned to track development impact indicators such as greenhouse gas emissions, employment, women's employment and smallholder farmers.

The financing structure includes criteria for measuring the environmental and social impacts of the investments, in addition to Armada Gıda's growth investments.

Armada-4 and Kazakhstan investments at the center of the growth strategy
Armada Gıda's new financing package stands out as part of the company's strategy to both expand its production infrastructure in Türkiye and strengthen its presence in international markets.

While the planned Armada-4 investment in Mersin aims to develop value-added product processing capacity, the facility investment in Kazakhstan aims to strengthen the company's production and operational infrastructure in the region.

Armada Gıda Board of Directors Chairman Fethi Kalıpçı Sönmez stated that the agreement is not just a financial resource for the company, and said that the cooperation carried out with international financial institutions demonstrates the confidence placed in Armada Gıda's growth strategy.

Sönmez noted that the $110 million syndicated loan is one of the largest single investment loans provided in the pulse sector, and said that the financing package will create a strong financial foundation for the Armada-4 investment in Mersin and the growth plans in Kazakhstan.

Sönmez also stated that the monitoring of environmental and social performance under the loan will contribute to the company's growth approach evaluating economic results together with environmental and social value creation criteria.

Armada Gıda's production capacity reaches 725 thousand tons
Armada Gıda, which has been operating in the grain and pulse sector for 33 years, exports to more than 90 countries. The company operates in 9 main product groups: pulses, grains, bulgur, organic products, superfoods, pulse flour, rice, gluten-free products and other products.

Armada Gıda has 11 production lines across three factories in Mersin, covering a total area of 137,123 square meters. The company has a total production capacity of 725 thousand tons in conventional and organic products, and a storage capacity of 118 thousand tons.

The company also has solar power plant (SPP) projects in Harran and Viranşehir. Armada Gıda shares have been traded on Borsa İstanbul since the beginning of 2025.
