Nestlé Türkiye Gives Life to 12,000 Saplings Through "120 Bin İyilik Hareketi" Initiative
Nestlé Türkiye, marking its 120th anniversary with a focus on social benefit, has created a 12,000-sapling memorial forest in Susurluk, Balıkesir, as part of the "120,000 Good Deeds Movement." The project was carried out in cooperation with the Ege Orman Vakfı.
Nestlé Turkey, celebrating its 120th anniversary with a focus on public benefit, has created a memorial forest of 12,000 seedlings in Susurluk, Balıkesir, as part of its "120,000 Acts of Kindness" initiative. The project was implemented in cooperation with the Aegean Forest Foundation.
The afforestation work, carried out with the participation of Nestlé volunteers, stands out as an important example of the company's environmental steps in line with its "Creating Shared Value" approach.
Acts of kindness take to the field
At the event held in Susurluk, 50 Nestlé volunteers participated in symbolic sapling planting and closing activities.
Through the project in which a total of 12,000 seedlings were planted, the aim is to contribute to the region's ecosystem and create a long-term green area.
"Every seedling is a mark left for the future"
Başak Ünal, Marketing, Corporate Communications and Sustainability Director of Nestlé Turkey, made the following statement regarding the project:
"Drawing inspiration from our rooted heritage, we approach our 'Creating Shared Value' understanding from a broader perspective. Through this act of kindness that we have brought to life in our 120th year, together with our volunteers and stakeholders, we have given 12,000 seedlings to nature. With each seedling, we are also nurturing our belief in tomorrow."

Sırma Buğdaycı, Press and Public Relations Coordinator of the Aegean Forest Foundation, drew attention to the importance of the cooperation in terms of sustainability:
"This work is not merely a tree-planting event; it is an expression of our shared responsibility towards nature and the future. Each seedling planted in the soil carries the quality of hope left to future generations and a promise given to nature."
Long-term contribution to nature
The memorial forest of 12,000 seedlings is expected to grow over time, contributing to biodiversity in the region and creating new living spaces.
Nestlé Turkey is planned to continue expanding social and environmental impact through projects implemented as part of its "120,000 Acts of Kindness" initiative.
