Nippon Paint - Betek Leads the Industry with Advanced Production Technology and Innovative Investments

Nippon Paint - Betek, which maintains its pioneering position in Türkiye's paint and thermal insulation sector through innovations developed under the Filli Boya and Dalmaçyalı brands, advanced production technologies and R&D investments, is increasing its operational strength with new investments. The company, which develops its production capacity, expands regional production models and implements sustainability-focused projects, combines its local production competence with the global experience of Nippon Paint Group, one of the world's leading paint manufacturers.
Operating with the Filli Boya brand in the paint sector and the Dalmaçyalı İleri Isı Yalıtım Sistemleri brand in the thermal insulation sector, Nippon Paint - Betek continues its technology-focused growth. The company, which has brought many innovations to the sector—from the first water-based silicone interior and exterior facade paint production with the Filli Boya brand to coloring systems, and from high-performance exterior facade thermal insulation solutions with the Dalmaçyalı brand to advanced application systems—joined Nippon Paint Group in 2019.
In addition to its production facilities in Gebze, Balıkesir and Kayseri, Nippon Paint - Betek, which develops its production capacity with new automation-focused facility investments, the regional production model it implemented in Diyarbakır, and renewable energy projects, brings together global know-how with local production power.
Nippon Paint - Betek General Manager Hasan Gökhan Güner stated the following in his assessment of the company's production and technology investments:
“Betek, which has brought strong brands of the paint and thermal insulation sector such as Filli Boya and Dalmaçyalı to our country since its establishment in 1988, crowned the value it created with its own resources with the global vision of Nippon Paint Group, which operates in 6 continents and 45 countries, through the strategic merger realized in 2019. Nippon Paint Group's experience, innovation power and corporate governance approach have reinforced our competence in every area, from our production efficiency to our R&D power. Thanks to the bridge we have built between this global power we are affiliated with and our local industrial needs, we continue on our path today as a technology-focused strong structure.”
Automation and Regional Agility in Production
Stating that they shape their production technologies and capacity according to the needs of the future, Hasan Gökhan Güner drew attention to the importance of investments in terms of operational efficiency and regional production capability.
Güner used the following statements regarding the issue:
“With this understanding, last year we put into operation our 2nd Water-Based Production Facility, managed with end-to-end automation and designed to meet our needs for the next 10 years, providing an additional annual capacity of 225 thousand tons. Following this investment, which increased our total production volume to 345 thousand tons, our average daily tonnage reached 500 tons as of June, and we are progressing step by step toward our target of 700 tons. While increasing this strength in our production technology, we also place environmentally friendly investments at the center of this transformation. With the project we are preparing to put into operation, we aim to meet 35 percent of the electricity consumed in all our factories from Solar Energy (SPP).
On the other hand, we attach great importance to regional collaborations in order to make this strength in our production technology and capacity closer to the field and more agile. Thanks to the strategic production partnership we realized in the field of thermal insulation in Diyarbakır, we increased our operational speed in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia by producing exterior facade panels and external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS) products in the region. We aim to carry this regional production model, which takes flexible and fast action across Türkiye, to different geographies in the upcoming period as well.”
Developing Technological Competence through R&D and Academic Collaborations
Emphasizing that there is a strong R&D infrastructure behind their production technologies, Güner stated that in addition to the knowledge sharing carried out with Nippon Paint's global teams, academic collaborations also support the company's innovation capacity.
Güner made the following assessments:
“Thanks to the uninterrupted knowledge transfer we carry out with Nippon Paint's global teams, we establish a mutual learning relationship between global research experience and local industrial needs, and reflect the technologies we develop onto the field. Along with all this, in our unit, which has been operating with R&D Center status since 2013, we carry out important studies, and through our academic collaborations with Gebze Teknik Üniversitesi, we train experts who will shape the future of paint and insulation technologies. Thus, while raising the technological standards of our sector, we continue to lead the sector with our products in line with compliance with the Green Deal and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism.”
“We Have Turned Türkiye into the Region's Strategic Hub”
Stating that Nippon Paint - Betek has also strengthened its role in the global organization through its production technology, R&D power and market position, Hasan Gökhan Güner said the following regarding the company's goals of becoming a regional center:
“Thanks to our deep-rooted production experience in the sector, our high-technology-based capacity and our R&D accumulation, we have gained the status of a regional center within Nippon Paint's global organization. Our technological expertise in paint and thermal insulation is the most fundamental source of strength that distinguishes and highlights Nippon Paint - Betek within the global system.
In line with the technological competence and production power we possess, with the organizational transformation we carried out as of 2025, we have positioned our country as the strategic management, production, innovation and R&D hub for Kazakhstan, Egypt and surrounding geographies. We will continue to resolutely lead the market and set standards across a wide geography by combining global know-how with our local production technology.”
