Applying for the "Our Dream Is Similar" Cooperation Program Requires Generation Y Project Ambassador Status

Zer, the Koç Group company operating in procurement and supply chain management, has opened third-round project applications for its Our Dream is Shared Cooperation Program, launched under the message "Our Responsibilities for Our Future are Shared, Our Dream is Shared." The program aims to leverage the impact generated by an ecosystem consisting of over 700 customers from many different sectors and more than 20,000 suppliers to create a better world. It places UN Sustainable Development Goal 12 – "responsible consumption and production" – at its core. Projects developed by Zer's customers and suppliers may be submitted under the headings "environmental and natural resource protection" and "changing lifestyles accordingly." Project applications will be accepted through the Our Dream is Shared website until 30 July.

Application Requirement: Generation Y Project Ambassador

Among the application criteria for the Our Dream is Shared Cooperation Program is the requirement for a Generation Y project ambassador. Through this criterion, young people with the vision and commitment needed to build a better future are encouraged to generate ideas and take action, with the goal of the program growing with the energy of Generation Y employees.

Submitted projects are evaluated by a Selection Committee composed of independent members based on four criteria: impact potential, feasibility, sustainability and efficiency. The development of selected projects is monitored for one year by Zer ambassadors, with the aim of accelerating project development momentum through the influence of Generation Y project ambassadors.

Mehmet Apak, Chief Executive Officer of Zer A.Ş., commented on the matter: "As Zer, we frequently emphasize the importance of an 'ecosystem that says us, not me' approach. We aim to continuously strengthen our working ecosystem, which has high awareness of the world and environment and is willing to create better solutions in every area. Through the Our Dream is Shared Cooperation Program, we aim to fulfill our responsibilities together with our customers and suppliers for the ideal of a better world. We believe that by discovering steps that can be taken not only individually but also institutionally, and through the ideas and practices that will emerge, we will contribute to creating waves of change in each of our stakeholders' own ecosystems," he said. The company believes that both individual and collective action is necessary to protect natural water resources and prevent pollution in the seas, an important part of the ecological cycle. In 2021, it declared the year as "clean water, clean seas year."
