Confidence Renewed at YÜF: Adil Sani Konukoğlu Re-elected Chairman

The 20th General Assembly of the Federation of Construction Materials Manufacturers (YÜF) was held. At the general assembly, incumbent Chairman Adil Sani Konukoğlu was re-elected to the chairmanship by members' votes.

The Building Products Manufacturers Federation (YÜF) held its 20th General Assembly. Incumbent Chairman Adil Sani Konukoğlu was re-elected to the presidency by member votes.

At the general assembly, attended by federation members, sector representatives and guests, the current state of the building products sector, 2025 performance and 2026 expectations were comprehensively discussed.

Speaking at the general assembly, YÜF Chairman Adil Sani Konukoğlu noted that the sectors within the federation play a critical role for Turkey's economy and the construction sector, stating: "The sectors under our Federation's umbrella provide significant contributions to our country's production capacity and the development of the construction sector."

In his remarks, Konukoğlu also paid tribute to the late Fatih Yücelik, saying: "We offer our condolences to our late Chairman Fatih, who made important contributions to our sector and Federation, and express our sympathy to his family and our community. Our most important task is to carry forward this structure, to which he dedicated his efforts, with the same responsibility and determination."

In his assessment of 2025, Konukoğlu noted that Turkey's economy grew 3.7% and the construction sector recorded 13.9% growth. Stating that housing sales reached 1.7 million units with a 14% increase, Konukoğlu said that construction materials production generally followed a resilient course.

Addressing the challenges facing the sector, Konukoğlu said: "Rising financing costs and weak performance in confidence indices continue to exert pressure on our sector. 2025 emerged as a period marked by strong production but fragile confidence."

Re-elected to the presidency with renewed confidence at the general assembly, Adil Sani Konukoğlu stated that they will continue to work in the new term for the sector's development and sustainable growth. Sector representatives shared their future expectations with participants.
