New Era in Kérastase and KAGİDER's Power Talks Programme: Flash Mentoring

Power Talks, the global social impact programme launched by Kérastase to strengthen the self-confidence of young women in their career journeys, has entered a new phase in Türkiye in collaboration with KAGİDER. Restructured with the Flash Mentoring model in 2026, the programme aims to bring together approximately 300 young women with experienced female professionals in one-on-one mentoring sessions.

The Power Talks programme, launched by luxury hair care brand Kérastase in 2023, supports young women in developing the self-confidence they need at important decision-making moments in their professional lives. Implemented in 16 countries on a global scale, the programme has provided mentoring support to more than 5,600 women to date.

Carried out free of charge in Türkiye in collaboration with KAGİDER (Türkiye Kadın Girişimciler Derneği / Women Entrepreneurs Association of Türkiye), the programme has taken on a more accessible and needs-oriented structure with the Flash Mentoring model in 2026.

Power Talks reached 357 people in Türkiye over two years
Power Talks, launched in Türkiye in 2023 through the collaboration between Kérastase and KAGİDER, initially set out with the goal of bringing together 50 mentors and 50 mentees.

In the programme's activities in 2024 and 2025, a total of 357 people were included in the programme, comprising 201 mentees and 156 mentors.

With the Flash Mentoring model implemented in 2026, the goal is to reach approximately 300 mentees and to include approximately 50 mentors who have received mentoring training in the programme.

Mentoring support in five different career themes
The Power Talks Flash Mentoring model is built around five core themes based on the needs young women may encounter at different stages of their careers:

Career Management
First Job / First Management Experience
Self-Expression and Communication
Work-Life Balance
Glass Ceiling and Bias

While participants choose the theme that suits their own needs, mentor-mentee matches are made by KAGİDER based on the selected theme, the mentor's area of expertise and quotas.

Each participant takes part in a one-hour, one-on-one mentoring session within the scope of the theme they have chosen. Through these sessions, young women are expected to gain actionable insights into their current career needs, acquire different perspectives, and plan their next steps in their professional lives with greater self-confidence.

"We aim for more young women to benefit from these experiences"
Kérastase Brand Director Selen Tütüncüoğlu noted that one of the key obstacles preventing women from realising their potential is a confidence gap, drawing attention to the role Power Talks plays in this area.

Tütüncüoğlu said, "Through Power Talks, we aim to strengthen the self-confidence young women need at important decision-making moments in their careers and to support them in embracing their own potential more strongly. We believe mentoring plays an important role in this journey; because a conversation that takes place at the right time can make a significant difference in how a person views themselves and what they are capable of. As we take our ongoing collaboration with KAGİDER to a new stage with the Flash Mentoring model in 2026, we aim to contribute to more young women benefiting from the knowledge and experience of experienced women and taking bolder steps in their career journeys."

KAGİDER Chair Esra Bezircioğlu, meanwhile, drew attention to the importance of young women's access to knowledge, experience and role models in the early years of their careers.

Bezircioğlu said, "It is of great importance for young women to be able to access accurate information, experience and inspiring role models in the very early years of their careers, so that they can take stronger and more confident steps in business life. We are happy to move our long-standing Power Talks collaboration with Kérastase into a more accessible and needs-oriented structure with the Flash Mentoring model."

Participation possible from different cities across Türkiye
The mentees of the Power Talks Türkiye programme are accepted from among young women who benefit from or have graduated from KAGİDER's youth projects, as well as students studying at universities with which KAGİDER collaborates.

The programme's mentors, on the other hand, are selected from KAGİDER's network of female professionals, among those with a certain level of career experience and expertise in at least one of the mentoring themes.

The Flash Mentoring Programme, conducted online, allows young women from different cities across Türkiye to participate in the programme. While the mentoring sessions, which began in July, are planned to continue until the end of the year, face-to-face mentoring meetings are also planned to be held as part of various events in the autumn period.

Candidates who wish to participate in the programme as mentors must have at least five years of professional work experience and experience in at least one of the designated mentoring themes.

KAGİDER manages the local implementation of the programme
KAGİDER, the local implementation partner of Power Talks in Türkiye, manages the operational and content processes of the programme, including the identification and preparation of mentors, the development of mentor training and mentoring content, application and evaluation processes, mentor-mentee matching, and the coordination of mentoring sessions.
