V/O Isotop AŞ Increases Isotope Product Exports by 15%

V/O Isotop, a unit of Russia's state nuclear energy corporation Rosatom focused on healthcare technologies, increased its annual isotope product exports by 15 percent in 2023. According to the announcement, the export growth was achieved through agreements signed with customers in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and countries that are members of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Revenue in China and India increased 1.5-fold and 3-fold respectively, particularly due to agreements concluded with operations in these countries. The company also expanded the supply geography for isotope products and strengthened collaboration with Latin American countries. In this scope, a group of cobalt-60 based products were delivered to irradiation centres in the Middle East, while uninterrupted supply of Technetium-99 generators to Macrotech in Belarus and gallium-68 generators to Kazakhstan was ensured. In January 2024, the company began regular supply to clinics in Cuba of diagnostic molybdenum-99 isotope, used to detect cardiovascular and oncological diseases, and theranostic iodine-131 isotope, used for diagnosis and treatment of thyroid diseases and based on personalised therapy. In 2023, a five-year contract was signed with Brazil for the supply of medical products. Source
