This investment will accelerate the development and scaling of MCatalysis' innovative microwave catalysis technology, following the company's signing of a worldwide exclusive license agreement with Oxford University Innovation (OUI), Oxford University's technology transfer arm. MCatalysis has undertaken the mission to produce low-cost, clean synthetic fuels and chemicals by converting waste carbon sources such as agricultural waste, plastic waste, and waste gas streams. This technology, arising from Oxford University's world-leading research, combines highly efficient industrial microwave processing with unique catalysts. This novel approach significantly extends processing times and product selectivity, delivering more cost-effective and energy-efficient production for a wide range of sustainable fuels and chemicals.

The exclusive license agreement with OUI grants MCatalysis global rights to the fundamental intellectual property in microwave catalysis developed at Oxford University. OUI has more than 30 years of experience in commercializing the university's cutting-edge knowledge and research.
