Körber Wins European Award for Excellence in Bioprocessing
Körber wins European Bioprocessing Excellence Award
Körber, a leading global provider of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and cell and gene therapy industries, has been honored with the 2021 European Bioprocessing Excellence Award in the "Best Bioprocessing Supplier Award: Software" category for its Werum PAS-X software products.
The award recognizes Körber as an industry leader and trendsetter in the bioprocessing space and facilitates biomanufacturing excellence at high speed, low cost and superior quality across Europe and beyond.
As the number of cell therapy products in late-stage clinical trials is rapidly increasing, electronic systems are emerging as the only option for managing large patient volumes. Through digitalized and automated processes, PAS-X MES is ideal for cell and gene therapy manufacturers to address these challenges.
Werum PAS-X MES is supported by innovative data science software: Werum PAS-X Savvy helps accelerate biopharmaceutical processes and connects people across departments and facilities. With PAS-X Savvy, bioprocess engineers and data scientists can manage, visualize and analyze bioprocess data quickly, comprehensively and in real time.
Dr. Christoph Fink, Chief Operating Officer (COO) Software at Körber Business Area Pharma, states: "We are truly honored to receive this high recognition in the sector and to be selected as the Best Bioprocessing Supplier for software."
"I would like to thank our customers and partners for their trust in us and our digital solutions. This award underscores that we truly understand what it takes to ensure production quality in scaling highly complex and dynamic manufacturing processes – for example in biotechnology, cell and gene therapy.
This motivates us to continuously improve the capabilities of our products and to share best practices and expertise in the growing community created by our customers."
The awards ceremony took place virtually as part of the Biologics Contract Manufacturing Europe 2021 and 4th Biologics World Nordic 2021 conferences, attended by more than 500 representatives from Europe's leading biopharmaceutical and contract manufacturing organizations.
