12 Textile and Ready-to-Wear Companies from the Aegean Region Make It Onto TİM's Top 1000 List

In the TİM Top 1000 List — described as the champions league of exporters and accounting for 66% of Türkiye's exports — 12 companies from the textile and ready-to-wear sectors in the Aegean Region secured a place.

Twelve companies from the textile and apparel sectors in the Aegean Region made it to TİM's Top 1000 List, known as the champions league of Turkey's exports, which account for 66% of the country's total exports.

Nine member companies of Aegean Exporters' Associations are listed in TİM's Top 1000, while three textile and apparel companies from Denizli are among the export champions.

As the textile and apparel sectors went through a challenging period in 2024, the accomplishments of companies from the Aegean Region that made the list proved remarkable.

Üniteks Tekstil rose three places
Üniteks Tekstil Gıda Sanayi ve Dış Ticaret A.Ş., which was Turkey's fifth in the Apparel and Confection Sector in 2023, rose three places in 2024 to become Turkey's second and a top performer. Üniteks Tekstil Gıda Sanayi ve Dış Ticaret A.Ş. ranked 117th among the country's largest exporters in 2024.

Sun Tekstil jumped 103 places in the Top 1000
The Turkish apparel and confection sector experienced a 7% decline in exports in 2024 due to high inflation in Turkey, low exchange rates, and recession in Europe, its largest export market, with exports falling from USD 19.2 billion to USD 17.9 billion. Despite this contraction in the confection sector, Sun Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., an İzmir-based confection exporter, achieved remarkable success in 2024.

Sun Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. increased its exports from USD 119 million in 2023 to USD 224.3 million in 2024, an 89% increase. Rising nine places in the apparel sector to become Turkey's third, Sun Tekstil jumped 103 places nationally to rank 123rd.

Two of Turkey's top three companies in confection exports come from Aegean exporters.

Other apparel exporters from İzmir making TİM's Top 1000 List are Fore Uluslararası Paz. ve Tic. A.Ş., ranked 15th in the sector, Menderes Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., which holds 31st place, and İşbir Sentetik Dokuma Sanayi A.Ş., which ranked 55th.

Uçak Tekstil took flight
Uçak Tekstil Turizm İth. İhr. San. ve Tic. A.Ş., a member of the Aegean Textile and Raw Materials Exporters' Association, was another Aegean exporter that made its mark in 2024. Growing exports by 126% from USD 53.5 million to USD 120.7 million, Uçak Tekstil advanced 307 places on TİM's Top 1000 Exporter List, climbing from 549th to 242nd. In the textile and raw materials sector, Uçak Tekstil rose 13 places, moving from 18th to 5th.

Ekoten Tekstil became the fastest-growing textile company
Ekoten Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., which entered TİM's Top 1000 Exporter List in 2023 at 977th place, made its way to the fastest-growing companies in 2024.

Growing exports by 79% to USD 56 million in 2024, Ekoten Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. rose 424 places on TİM's Top 1000 Exporter List in 2024 to rank 553rd. In the textile and raw materials sector, Ekoten Tekstil also advanced 27 places to become 17th.

Balta Orient Tekstil ranked 9th in the carpet sector
Balta Orient Tekstil San. ve Tic. A.Ş., based in Uşak and a member of the Aegean Textile and Raw Materials Exporters' Association, became one of two companies from Uşak on TİM's Top 1000 list in 2024 and achieved ninth place among the country's largest carpet exporters.

Filidea Tekstil San. ve Tic. A.Ş., Sürü Tekstil Konfeksiyon San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti., and Ozanteks Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., based in Denizli, were other Aegean exporters on TİM's Top 1000 List in 2024.

Sertbaş: "The best evidence that apparel exports from Turkey will continue"
Burak Sertbaş, Chairman of the Aegean Ready-Made Garment and Apparel Exporters' Association, expressed pride in the success of Aegean apparel exporters on TİM's Top 1000 Exporter List, which provides a comprehensive picture of Turkish exports. He stressed that despite the challenging period the apparel sector is facing, the remarkable achievements of companies in the sector send a very clear message that Turkey's apparel sector is not ending.

"Our sector's position on the list strengthens our hopes for the future," said Sertbaş. "From these successes, we understand that Turkey needs this sector. I am confident we will achieve similar successes during 2025. To halt the decline in our apparel exports and resume growth, we will organize Turkey's national participation with 12 companies at the PV Manufacturing New York Fair on 15-16 July 2025. Through trade fairs, sectoral trade delegations, and buyer delegations, we aim to stop the decline in Turkey's apparel exports and return to growth," he stated.
