Ülker Tops Sustainability Rankings Again

Ülker has been included in S&P Global's Corporate Sustainability Assessment (The Sustainability Yearbook), which recognizes companies with the best environmental, social and governance performance, for the fifth consecutive time.

Ülker, Turkey's leading food company whose sustainability efforts have been recognized on national and international platforms, has achieved inclusion in the international rating agency S&P Global's Corporate Sustainability Assessment (The Sustainability Yearbook) for the fifth time.
While over 7,690 companies from 62 different sectors worldwide were evaluated, 780 companies earned a place on the list. Ülker became one of 9 Turkish companies entering this list with its environmental, social and governance performance, while remaining the sole Turkish company among 26 global companies in the food products category.
 
"We have made a strong start to 2025 in sustainability"
Ülker CEO Mete Buyurgan stated that sustainability efforts, shaped from the soil upward and encompassing all stakeholders including producers, suppliers, business partners and consumers, continue uninterrupted. Buyurgan continued as follows: 

"In a period when global and local dynamics are changing rapidly, sustainability continues to be the cornerstone of our business strategy. At Ülker, we are pleased to crown our sustainability-focused growth and our understanding of operational excellence with the successes we have achieved on national and international platforms. In this sense, we have made a strong start to 2025. According to the 2 January 2025 assessment by London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), an international financial analysis and reporting organization, for the evaluation of environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance of public companies, we ranked first in our category for the second time among 484 companies examined globally, following the January 2024 evaluation. 

Now we are pleased to be included in S&P Global's Corporate Sustainability Assessment for the fifth consecutive time. Recognition of our sustainability efforts on both national and international platforms demonstrates that we are on the right path. We are growing without increasing carbon emissions. In line with our goal of becoming a net zero company by 2050, we have taken important steps and continue to take steps to maintain renewable energy supply, increase energy efficiency, reduce water consumption and make waste management more effective. At the same time, our efforts to make our supply chains more responsible and sustainable continue. With our zero-waste company approach, we will continue to produce with respect for both nature and people and to create value for our country."
