Truva Bakır Gives Full Support to Regional Development

Truva Bakır, a Cengiz Holding subsidiary, brings the group's sustainability vision to Çanakkale while investing not only in the economy, but also in the environment, society and cultural heritage. Working shoulder-to-shoulder with local administrations, village headmen and NGOs to keep a finger on the region's pulse, the company implements each project with a grassroots management approach designed to address real needs.

Truva Bakır, a Cengiz Holding group company, supports its operations in Çanakkale with corporate social responsibility projects. Operating on the principle of "on-site assessment, effective solutions," the company continues investments in agriculture, sanitation and healthcare that make a tangible difference in the lives of the region's residents.

As part of this process, Ünsal Arkadaş, Operating Director of the Truva Bakır Halilağa Copper Mine Project, met with village headmen from neighbouring villages to listen directly to the region's priority needs. Following these consultations, action was taken without delay based on identified requirements.

To enable milk producers in the region to protect their products from weather conditions, Truva Bakır delivered 2 units of 1,000-litre milk cooling tanks to Hacıbekirler Village and 2 units of 2,000-litre milk cooling tanks to Söğütgediği Cooperative (covering Söğütgediği, Hacıdervişler, Cazgirler and Bezirgenler villages).

Following these contributions, a garbage truck and 60 garbage containers needed to increase the operational capacity of the Bayramiche Villages Service Delivery Union were procured and put into service. This donation made a significant contribution to the sanitation services of 75 villages connected to the district. The handover ceremony held at Truva Bakır Halilağa Operation was attended by Bayramiche Sub-Governor Emrah Büyün, Cengiz Holding Board Member Kazım Cengiz, Provincial General Assembly Members Mehmet Demirsöz, Sadık Göğüsgeren and Fatih Yüksel, Bayramiche Special Administration Director Erdinç Okur, Secretary Veysel Aslan, Truva Bakır Halilağa Operating Director Ünsal Arkadaş, Bayramiche Village Headmen Association Chairman Zafer Sezer, village headmen and company executives.

The company previously supported Çan State Hospital with healthcare equipment including 4 stainless steel transfer stretchers, an Endocam Pacs System, a Detrowash Endoscope Washer and Disinfector, contributing to residents' access to health services. Company officials stated that this cooperation will continue in the coming period and that new equipment support is planned for the hospital, adding that they will continue their support in line with the region's needs.
