Dicle Elektrik Saves 7.5 Million kWh

Dicle Elektrik contributed to environmental sustainability by recovering more than 3,700,000 kilograms of waste for the economy through its recycling activities carried out in 2025. Thanks to recycling, approximately 7.5 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of energy savings were achieved, a figure determined to be equivalent to the annual electricity needs of approximately 2,500 households.

Dicle Elektrik contributed to environmental sustainability in 2025 through its recycling activities, recovering more than 3 million 700 thousand kilograms of waste back into the economy. The recycling efforts resulted in approximately 7.5 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of energy savings, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of approximately 2,500 households.

Dicle Elektrik, pioneering sustainable energy management in southeastern Anatolia through a human and environment-focused approach, achieved notable results in 2025 through its environmental management practices. The company systematically separated recyclable waste such as metal, paper, wood and plastic, recovering more than 3 million 700 thousand kilograms of waste for reuse in the economy. This resulted in total energy savings of approximately 7 million 500 thousand kWh, a quantity equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of approximately 2,500 households.
Work supported by concrete data in areas such as energy savings, natural resource protection and carbon emission reduction forms an important part of Dicle Elektrik's sustainability vision. Savings gains, an important indicator in terms of energy efficiency, have reached a level capable of meeting the annual residential electricity needs of a medium-sized settlement. The company integrates recycling practices into its corporate structure, making its energy infrastructure increasingly environmentally friendly.

Prevented felling of approximately 25 thousand trees
Dicle Elektrik General Manager Yaşar Arvas, commenting on the recycling activities carried out, said: "Throughout 2025, we recovered 2 million 280 thousand kilograms of metal, 1 million 450 thousand kilograms of paper and wood, and 9 thousand kilograms of plastic waste for recycling. In doing so, we achieved concrete gains that contribute directly to environmental balance in addition to energy savings. Through the paper and wood waste we recycled, we prevented the felling of approximately 25 thousand trees. By converting plastic waste, we achieved savings of approximately 150 barrels of oil. Furthermore, by preventing a total of 473.6 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions, we significantly reduced our carbon footprint."

"Our priority is leaving a clean energy legacy for the future"
Continuing his remarks, Arvas stated: "We view environmental sustainability as one of the fundamental elements of our long-term strategy and plan all our activities with consideration for the right to life of future generations. We continuously pursue our investments and projects to make the region's energy infrastructure strong not only from a technical standpoint but also from an ecological one. Our priority is leaving a clean energy legacy for the future."
