SOCAR Türkiye Supports 14th TÜREK and 4th Azerbaijan Energy Forum Activities

The 14th TUREK – IV Azerbaijan Energy Forum, held simultaneously in Izmir on 4-5 September 2025, makes discussions and business connections even more significant given recent global developments. TUREB, which is organizing this important event bringing together high-level diplomacy and sector professionals under one roof to strengthen business ties between the two countries, held its Board of Directors meeting at SOCAR Turkey General Management.

SOCAR Turkey CEO Elchin Ibadov, TUREB Board of Directors Chairman Dr. İbrahim Erden and TUREB Board Members gathered at the meeting hosted by SOCAR Turkey. During the discussions, strategies were planned regarding the national and international activities of the event.

While continuing our energy investments, our Petkim RES facility, which has been operational since 2017, with 51 MW installed capacity and 45 MW licensed capacity, meets an important portion of Petkim's electricity demand through renewable energy and directly contributes to reducing carbon emissions. Our group company SOCAR Terminal has become a strategic logistics hub in the export of wind energy equipment to Europe. Wind energy is not only an electricity generation source; it is also a strategic leverage for Turkish industry and exports. I hope that the decisions taken at this TUREB meeting will bring new perspectives to the sector, strengthen cooperation and open doors to new opportunities, as we conduct important work to harness our country's wind potential for the economy and support investments in this field."

We Will Bring Together More Than 3,000 Sector Professionals in Turkey

Turkey Wind Energy Congress (TUREK), Turkey's largest and most comprehensive wind energy organization, will be held at Hyatt Regency İstinyepark in Izmir on 4-5 September 2025. Within the scope of TUREK; sector consultation meetings, technical tours, technical sessions, international contacts, exhibition area and stands, supplier-investor B2B meetings will take place. With the participation of experts, stakeholders, policymakers and academics from Europe and other leading wind regions around the world, it will shed light on current and future developments in the sector.

TUREK 2025 sessions will be chaired by leading sector experts and opinion leaders. The sessions will address the latest technological developments in the wind energy sector, investment opportunities and sustainability issues. The latest technological developments, innovative strategies and future projections in the wind energy sector will be evaluated.
