Enerjisa Üretim Provides Clean Energy Support to Manisa Celal Bayar University

Enerjisa Üretim, Turkey's leading private sector electricity producer, will help support the university's electricity consumption from sustainable sources and reduce carbon emissions through its rooftop solar power plant (SPP) installation project implemented at Manisa Celal Bayar University Campus.

Enerjisa Üretim, Turkey's leading private-sector electricity producer, is supporting Manisa Celal Bayar University's electricity consumption needs from sustainable sources through a rooftop solar power plant (SPP) installation project on the university campus, while also reducing carbon emissions.

Enerjisa Üretim is investing in the future of young people through clean energy generation via the rooftop SPP it has installed at Manisa Celal Bayar University Şehit Prof. Dr. İlhan Varank Campus. Through this project, launched to contribute to Turkey's renewable energy journey and serve as an example in reaching carbon neutrality targets, the university will generate its own energy while the campus will save on energy consumption and reduce carbon emissions, leading the way in green transition.

Preventing 75 tons of annual carbon emissions
Enerjisa Üretim, adding another pioneering step in renewable energy, will produce over 170,000 kWh of clean energy annually through the rooftop SPP it has installed on Manisa Celal Bayar University Library using more than 220 panels. Thanks to the project, approximately 75 tons of carbon emissions will be prevented each year, providing concrete benefits to the environment.

This step, which brings education and energy together under one roof, makes it possible for the university to meet its own needs with clean energy by placing sustainability at the center. With the support of Enerjisa Üretim, the project not only meets the campus's energy needs but also shines a strong light on societal benefit and more sustainable futures.

The rooftop SPP project, established to contribute to a sustainable future and raise awareness among university students in this field, will support meeting the university's electricity consumption from green and sustainable sources. The installation on the roof of the University Library will serve as an example of sustainability by meeting the campus's annual energy needs from renewable sources.

• Enerjisa Üretim had previously established a cooperation agreement with Manisa Celal Bayar University Technical Sciences Vocational School in the renewable energy sector to enable students and academic staff to take active roles and develop qualified employees.

Ayşegül Gürkale, Deputy General Manager of Human Resources and Culture at Enerjisa Üretim, expressing that they are taking steps that accelerate the transition to clean energy and inspire young people, stated: "The rooftop SPP project we have implemented at Manisa Celal Bayar University is one of the concrete indicators of our vision for the future. Universities generating their own energy from clean sources contribute to meeting campus energy needs while also raising young people's sustainability awareness and encouraging them to take active roles in tomorrow's transformation. Like the projects we previously carried out with the university, this initiative directly introduces students to renewable energy, helping them gain both technical knowledge and awareness. Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, addressing the importance of the rooftop SPP project implemented between Enerjisa Üretim and the university, said: "We are delighted to bring to life a very important project that will shed light on our university's future and our country's sustainable tomorrow. With the collaboration of Enerjisa Üretim, the Solar Power Plant (SPP) installed on our university library roof is not only an energy investment, but also a major step that will inspire our young people. Through this project, our university will generate over 170,000 kWh of clean energy annually and prevent approximately 75 tons of carbon emissions each year, making a significant contribution to the environment. In this way, we will meet our energy needs from sustainable sources and emerge as an example university on our country's path toward carbon neutrality targets."

Emphasizing that educational institutions are responsible not only for producing academic knowledge but also for imparting values to students, Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar stated: "Sustainability and environmental awareness are foremost among these values.
