ASD and ClimeCo Announce Strategic Partnership for Sustainable Packaging Sector in Turkey

ClimeCo Türkiye, a specialist in ESG and carbon management, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) to support the packaging industry's green transformation process and facilitate compliance with new environmental regulations.
ClimeCo Turkey, an expert in ESG and carbon management, has established a strategic partnership with the Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) to support the packaging sector's green transformation process and facilitate compliance with new environmental regulations.
Regulations such as the European Union's Green Deal, Circular Economy Action Plan, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), and Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) are making it mandatory for manufacturing companies to measure environmental performance and report it transparently. With Turkey's Climate Law adopted in 2025, emission monitoring and reporting obligations have gained legal basis, accelerating the sector's transformation needs. The ASD–ClimeCo Turkey partnership, launched in this context, aims to strengthen the packaging sector's sustainability capacity and bring it to a more solid position in international competition.
As a consulting firm specializing in sustainability and carbon management, ClimeCo Turkey provides a wide range of services including determination of companies' sustainability strategies, gap analyses, materiality and stakeholder analyses, establishment of sustainability governance structures, setting, monitoring and reporting of sustainability targets, carbon footprint calculation, CBAM reporting and ETS compliance advisory, carbon credit and voluntary carbon market processes, and Green Deal compliance roadmaps. The partnership with ASD enables this expertise to be applied with a focus on the packaging sector, aiming to increase both the sector's sustainability transformation and its international competitive strength.
ClimeCo Turkey Sustainability Director Oğuzhan Akınç commented on the partnership:
"Green transformation in the packaging sector is no longer merely a legal obligation, but also a requirement for remaining competitive in export markets. Through this partnership we have launched with ASD, we are facilitating companies in the sector's compliance processes with climate regulations; we are providing holistic support for sustainability transformation, ESG strategies and carbon management. With this partnership, we aim to strengthen the sector's sustainability capacity and contribute to its securing a more advantageous position in international competition."
The step taken by ASD and ClimeCo Turkey stands out as an important initiative to accelerate climate-adapted and sustainable transformation in the packaging sector.
