Senior Management Reshuffle at Renault Group

Luca de Meo, who has served as CEO of Renault Group for five years, announced his decision to step down from his position to pursue new opportunities outside the automotive sector.

The Renault Group Board of Directors, convened at the request of Board Chairman Jean-Dominique Senard, thanked de Meo for his contributions to the company's transformation and restructuring process. De Meo's resignation becomes effective as of 15 July 2025. De Meo will continue in his role until that date, after which the process to appoint a new CEO will commence in accordance with the predetermined succession plan. The Board emphasized its confidence that the company's transformation strategy will continue without momentum loss in the new period and that the current management team will successfully carry out this process.

Board Chairman Jean-Dominique Senard made the following statement regarding the matter: "Over five years, Luca de Meo made tremendous efforts to restore Renault Group to the position it deserves. Under his leadership, our company gained a solid foundation, developed an impressive product range, and re-entered a growth trajectory. Luca de Meo is not only an excellent industry leader, but also a creative, dedicated, passionate and inspiring personality. Today, as a company, we thank him for the challenges we overcome together and the years we have gone through. On my own behalf, I will always remember the quality of the relationship we built throughout this unforgettable journey. On this occasion, I also extend my sincere thanks to all our employees who worked with us in the restructuring of this symbolic company."

In a statement regarding his departure, Luca de Meo said: "There are moments in life when you know that a job is complete. In just five years at Renault Group, we faced very significant challenges. However, we turned into reality objectives that many considered impossible. The results achieved today speak clearly; they rank among the strongest achievements in our company's history. We have a strong team and an agile organization. Moreover, our strategic plan for next-generation products is ready. For this reason, I decided that the time had come to pass the baton. I am leaving behind a company ready for the future, one that has completed its transformation, and I am embarking on a new journey to apply my experience in different sectors.

Leading Renault Group was a great privilege. It was an experience that comes once in a lifetime, both in human and industrial terms. Therefore, I extend my infinite gratitude to all the employees—those I call 'Renaulutioners'—who, with their passion, dedication and beliefs, moved the company forward throughout my tenure. They are the real driving force of this company. I also thank Jean-Dominique Senard, who deemed me worthy of this position a few years ago and provided unwavering support and confidence, and the Board of Directors, who believed in our projects.
