Sumito Soichi Appointed as Takeda Türkiye's New Country Lead

Japanese biopharma company Takeda has made a senior appointment in its Türkiye organization. Sumito Soichi took office as Takeda Türkiye Country Lead effective October 15, 2026. In his new role, Soichi will lead the company's Türkiye operations.

A New Era at Takeda Türkiye

Founded in Japan in 1781, Takeda continues to strengthen its organizational structure in line with its global strategy. With Sumito Soichi's appointment to the role of Türkiye Country Lead, management of the company's Türkiye operations has been entrusted to Soichi for the new period.

In his new role, Soichi will lead Takeda's activities in Türkiye in line with the company's goal of delivering innovative treatments to more patients.

International Experience Within Takeda

Having completed his undergraduate education in economics and finance at Hiroshima University, Sumito Soichi earned his MBA at IE Business School in Spain. Soichi, who began his career in 2013, has held various positions within Takeda in Japan, Europe and the US for more than 13 years.

Gaining experience in commercial operations, market access, business development, strategy and digital innovation, Soichi served as Business Operations Head at Takeda Poland. He subsequently took on various responsibilities in market access at the company's US business unit.

Most recently serving as Director of the CEO Office, Soichi supported the company's senior management work and corporate strategic priorities in this position.
