Toray Composite Materials America, Inc., a Toray Group company specializing in PAN-based carbon fiber and carbon fiber prepreg, has signed a long-term carbon fiber supply agreement with Syensqo SA. The five-year agreement became effective as of January 2026.
Under this agreement, the two companies will work together to increase supply stability and durability in aircraft, aerospace and defense applications; thereby contributing to the strengthening of the global supply chain and long-term market growth.
With the recovery in global passenger demand and advances in next-generation aircraft development efforts, the aircraft market is expected to continue steady growth in the medium and long term. At the same time, aircraft renewal and technological advancement are continuing; this situation brings with it a strong increase in carbon fiber demand.
Toray Group continues to strengthen its long-term and stable supply capacity to meet the increasing carbon fiber demand in the aviation industry in a rapidly changing global environment.
