TİKAV receives the Women-Friendly Brands Awareness Award
TİKAV wins 2024 Women-Friendly Brands Awareness Award for its Individual Development Programme that equips university students with life skills, preparing them for working and social life with a focus on equal opportunity in education.
Since 1999, TİKAV has been providing education to university students in Eastern and Southeastern regions through its Individual Development Programme (BGP) on topics including diction, protocol and etiquette rules, personal care and dental health, creative drama, and emotional intelligence. Through this programme, students become prepared for the working life that awaits them after graduation.
On its 25th anniversary, the Turkey Human Resources, Education and Health Foundation (TİKAV), founded by Akfen Holding, became the recipient of a meaningful award.
TİKAV's Individual Development Programme (BGP), implemented to provide equal opportunity to university students studying in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions who face difficulties in accessing education, culture and personal development opportunities due to social and economic reasons, received the award in the "Equal Opportunity in Education" category at the 2024 Women-Friendly Brands Awareness Award ceremony, which this year adopted the theme "A Better World".
The Individual Development Programme aims to equip students with various life skills, preparing them for working and social life after university. Adopting the goal of creating equal opportunity in access to educational resources, TİKAV has provided education to 354 young people through the Individual Development Programme since 1999, covering topics including diction, protocol and etiquette rules, personal care and dental health, creative drama, and emotional intelligence. Through this programme, students become prepared for the working life that awaits them after graduation.
Individual Development Programme
The Individual Development Programme (BGP) was first opened to students at Elazığ Fırat University in 1999. In 2003 it began at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University; in 2006 it was implemented at Middle East Technical University, Hacettepe University, Ankara University and Eskişehir Osmangazi University.
In 2009, TİKAV focused on universities that had completed ten years of operation in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia Region and began implementing the project at Elazığ Fırat University, Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, Şanlıurfa Harran University, Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University and Erzurum Atatürk University. The Individual Development Programme has been implemented for Fırat University students since 2010.
