Sintek B.V.'s Headquarters in the Netherlands Achieves A+++ Energy Class

Sintek B.V.'s headquarters located in Bussum, the Netherlands, achieved A+++ energy class according to the energy performance certificate dated 7 October 2026. The renewable energy share in the calculated energy performance of the building, which uses a heat pump and solar panels, was determined to be 71 percent. The energy efficiency solutions implemented by the company in its own work spaces set an example for efforts aimed at transforming existing structures in line with sustainability targets.
According to European Commission data, buildings are responsible for approximately 40 percent of the European Union's total energy consumption and 36 percent of energy-related greenhouse gas emissions. The fact that 85 percent of buildings in the EU were built before 2000 makes improving the energy performance of existing structures an important agenda item.
Sintek Group, which provides engineering, contracting and project management services for industrial facilities and large-scale investment projects, is also carrying its energy efficiency approach into its own work spaces. The energy performance achieved at the headquarters in the Netherlands reveals the measurable results of the company's sustainability efforts.

The Energy Performance of Existing Structures Is Being Improved
Energy performance certificates evaluate elements such as insulation, heating, hot water, ventilation and lighting based on standard usage and climate conditions. The headquarters achieving A+++ energy class shows that the building exhibits high energy performance within this calculation framework.
According to the certificate, the building's annual calculated primary fossil energy use is at the level of 79.66 kWh per square meter. This value remains below the annual limit of 80 kWh/m² under the Dutch Renovation Standard mentioned in the bulletin. Reaching this level in a work space built in 1935 constitutes a remarkable example in terms of improving the energy performance of existing buildings.
The calculation of the renewable energy share at 71 percent in the building, which uses a heat pump and solar panels, also reveals the role of clean energy sources in meeting energy needs.
Efficiency Comes to the Fore in Europe's Energy and Climate Targets
The European Union's updated Energy Performance of Buildings Directive aims to achieve a zero-emission building stock by 2050. Reducing the energy needs of existing structures and increasing the use of clean energy sources are among the key elements of this target.
Improving energy performance in buildings is important not only for reducing greenhouse gas emissions but also for lowering energy costs and reducing dependence on imported fossil fuels. The energy performance of Sintek B.V.'s headquarters in the Netherlands reveals, with concrete data, the company's efforts to implement its sustainability approach in its own operational areas.
"We See Energy Efficiency as an Integral Part of Our Work Culture"
Sintek B.V. CEO İlker Bozkurt, in his assessment of the headquarters' energy performance, drew attention to the place of energy efficiency in the company's sustainability approach.
Bozkurt said, "Energy performance is one of the measurable key outcomes of our sustainability approach. We see energy efficiency as an integral part of our work culture and sustainability approach. Our headquarters in the Netherlands achieving A+++ energy class is a concrete result of our efforts in this area. By carrying our sustainability approach beyond our projects, we continue to develop more efficient and innovative solutions in every area in which we operate."
