Oyungezer to Boost Morale of Children in Hatay
Playgrounds on Wheels: Enerjisa Enerji and TEMSA transform bus into game center for children in Hatay.
Placing sustainability at the core of its strategy and generating projects to contribute to a smarter and greener world with a focus on people and technology, Enerjisa Enerji and TEMSA, one of the world's leading bus manufacturers, have joined forces for earthquake-affected children in Hatay.
With an impact-driven sustainability approach, Enerjisa Enerji, the leading electricity distribution, retail sales and customer solutions company pioneering Turkey's energy transition, and TEMSA, one of the world's leading bus manufacturers, have taken action to boost morale among earthquake-affected children.
Enerjisa Enerji and TEMSA are putting their signatures on an important corporate social responsibility project to help heal the psychological wounds opened by the earthquakes that occurred in February and caused heavy losses. The game center bus, named Playgrounds on Wheels, will be put into service in Hatay and İskenderun container cities on 11 August 2023.
Following Enerjisa Enerji's vision of creating a space where children in the region could step away from container cities and spend enjoyable time, TEMSA, a company from the Sabancı Group, made a significant contribution to bringing the project to life through its support.
After the bus provided by TEMSA was dressed up with an attractive exterior design, its interior was transformed into a game area designed by Enerjisa Enerji. In this way, a safe social space was created for children living in the region to spend their leisure time.
"We are not visitors here; we will continue to support Hatay."
Enerjisa Enerji Chief Executive Officer Murat Pınar, emphasizing that the earthquake and its consequences will never disappear from their agenda, stated: "Since the first day of the earthquake, we have been working with all our might to heal the region's wounds. During this period when all companies are trying to pitch in, there is one factor that distinguishes us from other companies; this is our operational region and we are not visitors here; we will continue to support Hatay. We are making investments with efficient resource use and working hard to revitalize the region. Having a safe space where children here can spend enjoyable time is very critical for their psychology. I am very grateful to the Enerjisa Enerji E-Sport Club for contributing to addressing a significant and major gap in the region, and to TEMSA for joining our efforts. On the path we have set out saying 'A Better Future,' I hope we can make at least somewhat happy the children who will build our future.""With our Playgrounds on Wheels project, we also aim to support the social and emotional development of children in the region."
TEMSA Chief Executive Officer Tolga Kaan Doğancıoğlu made the following remarks on the subject: "Since the first day of the earthquake disaster we experienced, we stated that we would remain in the field until all wounds are healed. We are committed to this. In addition to all the aid we have provided, we are striving to make the region's people feel our presence through the projects we are implementing in the earthquake zone. With our Playgrounds on Wheels project, which we have implemented in cooperation with TEMSA and Enerjisa Enerji, we also aim to support the social and emotional development of children in the region. As TEMSA, we have produced more than 130,000 vehicles to date. Among these vehicles of ours, this bus designed for children has undoubtedly taken its place among the most special vehicles bearing the TEMSA signature to date."Advertisement
