ANKIROS – the 17th International Iron-Steel, Casting, Non-Ferrous Metallurgy Technologies, Machinery and Products Specialized Trade Fair, held biennially by Hannover Messe Ankiros Fuarcılık A.Ş., will bring together sector professionals from different countries of the world in İstanbul on 22–24 October 2026.
Within the scope of the fair, a wide range of products and solutions will be exhibited, including melting and casting technologies, iron-steel production and process equipment, moulding and core-making machines, sand preparation and reclamation systems, industrial furnaces and heat treatment systems, refractory and high-temperature technologies, automation and process control systems, measurement, testing and quality control equipment, and environmental and filtration technologies.
In particular, companies operating in the field of industrial furnaces, heat treatment and thermal process technologies will present their diverse technologies to sector professionals at ANKIROS 2026, ranging from furnace systems to burner and combustion technologies, and from heating and cooling systems to temperature measurement and control solutions.
In addition to traditional metallurgy technologies, ANKIROS 2026 will also highlight energy efficiency, digitalization, process optimization, automation, efficient use of resources and sustainable production solutions that are shaping the transformation of the sector. Thus, visitors will have the opportunity to examine next-generation technologies for more efficient, controlled and sustainable production of metallurgy facilities on the same platform.
ANKIROS 2024 concluded with strong figures
The previous edition of ANKIROS once again demonstrated the fair's international standing with the number of participants and visitors it reached.
ANKIROS, held at İstanbul Expo Center in 2024, hosted a total of 1,137 participating companies from 42 countries. While 421 of the participants were domestic and 716 were foreign companies, the number of direct foreign participants reached 289.
Over the course of three days, ANKIROS was visited by 21,069 sector professionals. While 16,763 of the visitors were professionals coming from Türkiye, 4,306 international visitors from 77 countries were hosted at the fair.
Ozan Hünler: "We are taking ANKIROS's international strength even further in 2026"
Evaluating the preparations for ANKIROS 2026, Ozan Hünler, General Manager of Hannover Messe Ankiros Fuarcılık A.Ş., drew attention to the international standing achieved by the fair and said the following:
"Today, ANKIROS is one of the most important international meeting points in the field of metallurgy, not only for Türkiye but also for the geography we are located in. In 2024, we hosted 1,137 participants from 42 countries and more than 21 thousand sector professionals in İstanbul. These results once again showed us the trust the sector places in ANKIROS and the strategic importance İstanbul carries for the world of metallurgy.
In 2026, by taking this strong international structure even further, we will once again bring together the sector's leading manufacturers and technology providers with professionals coming from different countries of the world in İstanbul. However, we do not evaluate ANKIROS only by its size and number of participants. For us, the real value emerges in the new business connections established over three days, in the information and experience shared, in the meeting of new technologies with the sector, and in future-oriented collaborations. At a time when topics such as digitalization, sustainable production, energy efficiency and low-carbon production are reshaping the future of our sector, the importance of face-to-face communication and international knowledge sharing is increasing even further.
We also attach great importance to ANKIROS's structure that brings together industry, academia and the engineers of the future under the same roof. Together with our concurrent scientific events, the participation of our universities, and our international purchasing delegations, we view ANKIROS 2026 not merely as a three-day fair, but as a comprehensive meeting platform that contributes to the future of the sector.
We are eagerly looking forward to bringing together all stakeholders of our sector once again in İstanbul on 22–24 October, and to offering the world of metallurgy a strong international meeting point from Türkiye."
TURKCAST carries the production power of the Turkish casting industry to the world
One of the important focal points of ANKIROS 2026 will also be the TURKCAST Casting Products Special Section. TURKCAST, which brings Türkiye's strong casting industry together with international buyers, will provide an important platform for casting companies manufacturing for different sectors, particularly automotive, heavy industry, machinery, energy, defense and transportation, to present their products and production capabilities to international sector professionals.
With TURKCAST, ANKIROS 2026 will bring together casting technologies as well as casting products and manufacturers within the same ecosystem, offering visitors the opportunity to evaluate the value chain of the casting sector from a broad perspective.
Science, technology and industry on the same platform
One of the important features of ANKIROS is that, in addition to its trade fair identity, it also provides a strong environment for the sharing of knowledge and technology between academia and industry.
Concurrently with ANKIROS, the 23rd International Metallurgy and Materials Congress – IMMC 2026 will be held at İstanbul Expo Center on 22–24 October 2026. The congress, which will bring together expert academics, researchers, engineers and sector representatives in their fields, will form an important platform for sharing scientific and technological developments shaping the future of the sector, particularly in the areas of sustainable metallurgy, critical raw materials, advanced materials technologies and the circular economy.
The 76th World Foundry Congress is also in İstanbul
During the ANKIROS 2026 period, İstanbul will also host one of the most important international organizations of the world foundry sector.
The 76th World Foundry Congress (WFC 2026) will be held in İstanbul on 18–24 October 2026. The congress will bring sector professionals together in İstanbul in a special year in which the 100th anniversary of the World Foundry Organization (WFO) and the 50th anniversary of the Turkish Foundry Association (TÜDÖKSAD) are being celebrated.
Thus, with ANKIROS, IMMC 2026 and the World Foundry Congress all taking place in the same week, İstanbul will become the international meeting center of the metallurgy and casting world.
International purchasing delegations at ANKIROS for new business connections
International purchasing delegation programs are also being carried out within the scope of ANKIROS 2026 in order to ensure the participation of professional buyers from different regions of the world at the fair.
Within the scope of the program, it is aimed for participating companies to establish direct contact with potential customers, purchasing professionals and sector representatives; to reach new export markets; and to develop long-term commercial collaborations.
Domestically, the participation of professional visitors from Türkiye's different production centers in ANKIROS 2026 is being supported through work carried out with chambers of industry and commerce, organized industrial zones and sectoral organizations.
Thus, ANKIROS offers its participants not just a space to exhibit their products and technologies, but a business development platform where they can establish new commercial connections, develop relationships with their existing customers, and reach international markets.
Academia and the engineers of the future meet the sector
University-industry collaboration will continue to be one of the important components of the organization at ANKIROS 2026.
Academics and students from relevant engineering departments, particularly Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, will have the opportunity to come together with the sector's leading organizations to examine new production technologies on-site and to establish direct communication with sector professionals. Together with IMMC 2026, held concurrently, ANKIROS aims to create an ecosystem that strengthens the sharing of knowledge and experience between industry, the scientific community and the engineers of the future.
ANKIROS 2026 visitor pre-registration has begun
The ANKIROS 2026 Visitor Pre-Registration Form has been opened for professionals who wish to follow the three-day major gathering of the metallurgy sector in person.
Before coming to the fair, visitors will be able to complete their online visitor pre-registration through the website, create their badges, and enter the fair area quickly and easily. Iron-steel manufacturers and processors, foundry managers, engineers and technicians, representatives of the automotive, defense, machinery and white goods sectors, industrial furnace, machinery and equipment suppliers, purchasing managers, investors, decision-makers, R&D centers, academics and international trade delegations will come together at ANKIROS 2026 over the course of three days.
