KAÇUV Receives Support from the Pharmaceutical Industry Employers' Union

The Pharmaceutical Industry Employers' Association (İEİS) has added a new chapter to its corporate social responsibility initiatives. İEİS has sponsored a family room at the 2nd Family Home opened by the Foundation for Hope to Children with Cancer (KAÇUV) in Istanbul's Pendik district. KAÇUV, which established its first family home in Cerrahpaşa in 2012 to provide both a sterile environment and social support to needy families coming to Istanbul from outside the city for the treatment of their children with cancer, opened its second home in Pendik to meet the needs on the Anatolian side. İEİS, which is among KAÇUV's donors, supported the project by undertaking the construction of a family room in the 2nd Family Home that went into service. İEİS General Secretary Turgut Tokgöz stated: "As the Pharmaceutical Industry Employers' Association, alongside our sectoral activities, we have been an institution that always aims to add value to human life through our corporate social responsibility activities. We have prioritized measuring our success by the contributions we make to our country. Our support for the Family Home of the Foundation for Hope to Children with Cancer is an extension of this. In this context, we have also taken on the construction of one of the rooms in this home. We hope that the children who will stay in this home will have an easier treatment process and regain their health as soon as possible. It will be a great source of happiness for us to make life a little easier for our children and their families. Furthermore, our members have not spared their support and donated many products needed by KAÇUV in its projects. We are very grateful to KAÇUV for bringing this invaluable service to life." All needs met at the Family Home KAÇUV family homes provide free accommodation, psycho-social support, food, hygiene, kitchen and partial clothing needs for children undergoing cancer treatment and their families. The second Family Home, which consists of 6 floors and is designed to meet all the needs of families, provides accommodation in 22 rooms. The home features 4 family rooms on each floor and a large playroom on the top floor, and also has a workshop area for mothers, a classroom, a computer room and a psychologist's office.
