İzocam’s Motto: “Safety Starts With You”

Izocam launched a transformation process in the field of environment and occupational health and safety (OHS) in 2019 with the aim of advancing its Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety performance to higher levels. The Environment and OHS Vision and Principles Launch Meetings, which use the motto "Safety Starts With You," feature a special logo composed of an infinity symbol and an hourglass. The infinity symbol is included to highlight that occupational health and safety is an endless subject, while the hourglass emphasizes constant vigilance and the timeless nature of the matter. The turquoise color used in the logo, which represents the color of change, symbolizes that Izocam's OHS culture is in continuous transformation. In order to convey this process to employees at all its facilities, Izocam held Environment and OHS Vision and Principles Launch Meetings between 12 and 21 June. At the Environment and OHS Vision and Principles Launch Meetings held at Izocam's Tarsus, Eskişehir Gebkim, Dilovası and Maltepe facilities, the company shared its new vision, mission and principles as well as its objectives regarding environment and OHS.

Izocam Human Resources Director Gözdehan Çaycı emphasized the importance of all employees' participation in the process in Izocam's new Environment and OHS vision.

Gözdehan Çaycı said: "Employee participation plays a very decisive role in our success measurement. Within the framework of our new vision, we aim that in three years every employee within Izocam will participate in at least one Environment and OHS project and Environment and OHS will become an integral part of daily work processes. We attach great importance to the positive impact of personal commitment and belief in this matter on motivation. We also emphasize that it is a responsibility for our employees to set an example for one another." At the Izocam Environment and OHS Vision and Principles Launch Meetings, topics including risk reduction work at the facilities, SMAT audits monitoring behavioral changes, identification of high accident risk situations (SIP), root cause analysis and examination of causes, and preventive measures to prevent accidents were also discussed. In addition to these efforts, Izocam addresses eight fundamental principles developed to manage its high-risk activities and protect employees from severe accidents together with its vision approach, aiming to achieve zero work accidents, environmental accidents and occupational diseases. Following the Environment and OHS Vision and Principles Launch Meetings held with the participation of all employees, a pocket booklet and vision and principles brochure prepared to provide support were also distributed to employees.
