State support received by Aegean exporters in 2024 amounted to TRY 1.261 billion. Thus, state support channeled through EİB showed an increase of 90 percent.

In 2025, Turkey reached an export level of USD 273.5 billion, while the Ministry of Trade transferred state aid of TRY 25.5 billion in 21 different categories to exporters and business associations in order to strengthen international competitiveness. This amount increased to TRY 33 billion with services export support.

In 2025, 2,612 companies and business associations that are members of Ege İhracat Birliği benefited from Ministry of Trade support.

"State support has been a lifeline for exporters"
Ege İhracat Birliği Coordinator President Jak Eskinazi, noting that the Ministry of Trade has allocated a budget of TRY 45 billion for 2026, made the following assessment, recalling the severe economic conditions of 2025:

"In 2025, input costs in Turkey rose above the world average due to high inflation. The increase of the US dollar against the Turkish lira fell behind inflation. In this environment, state aid has been a lifeline for our exporters."

"We organized 8 meetings in 7 provinces, explained support mechanisms"
Reminding that support of TRY 764.8 million in 2023 and TRY 1.261 billion in 2024 was transferred through EİB, Eskinazi continued:

"In 2025, we facilitated TRY 2.4 billion in state support. During this period, we organized 8 member meetings in 7 provinces in the Aegean Region to explain state aid. Thus, we created the groundwork for a 90 percent increase."

The most in-demand items in the distribution of state support materialized as follows:

-International trade fair participation support: TRY 754.5 million

-TURQUALITY projects: TRY 454.5 million

-Agriculture support: TRY 426 million

Other items receiving support included market entry certificates, domestic and international office support, sectoral trade missions, e-exports and UR-GE projects.

"One percent of our exports should be given as support to exporters"
Eskinazi, emphasizing that Turkey needs production and exports for sustainable growth:

"We set an export target of USD 282 billion for 2026. To achieve this target, we believe that support should be provided to exporters at a rate of one percent of our exports. For USD 282 billion in exports, we are requesting USD 2.8 billion in state support."
he said.
