New Surface Coating Could Remain Effective Against COVID-19 for Months

A new durable anti-viral surface treatment has been scientifically proven to effectively kill the COVID-19 pathogen on contact while maintaining its effect for months on surfaces in restaurant tables, school furniture and other public spaces. Quaternary ammonium, the main component of this innovative surface treatment, is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the American Chemistry Council (ACC) and the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) as an effective means of killing viruses. "Due to its incredibly strong layer, Si-Quat only wears away on surfaces after thousands of touches or multiple cleaning cycles. This means Si-Quat will remain effective for approximately one month on heavily used surfaces such as door handles and countertops.
