Metgün Enerji Prepares for New Growth Phase with Public Offering

Metgün Enerji, one of Turkey's renewable energy companies, is preparing for a new investment phase alongside its IPO process. The company, which aims to expand its production portfolio comprising solar, wind and hydroelectric power plants, will invest a significant portion of IPO proceeds in new projects.

Metgün Enerji IPO demand collection begins
The demand collection process for Metgün Enerji's IPO is taking place between 20-22 July 2026. The IPO, organized through a consortium of 48 intermediary institutions led by Info Yatırım, has set the share price at TRY 20 per share.
Under the IPO scope;
Total nominal share value: TRY 135,579,000
IPO size: Approximately TRY 2.71 billion
Public float ratio: 21.35 percent
are being planned.
Majority of IPO proceeds to be directed to new investments
Metgün Enerji General Manager Uğur Işık stated that they view the IPO as an important part of their long-term growth targets, disclosing that approximately 80 to 90 percent of the funds generated will be directed to investments.
The company's investment plans include the following areas:
Solar energy plants with storage (SPP)
Wind energy plants with storage (WPP)
New renewable energy projects
Hybrid energy facilities
Strategic acquisitions
Capacity increases at existing plants
The remaining approximately 10 percent is planned to be used to strengthen working capital.

Goal to contribute to energy independence
Uğur Işık highlighted that geopolitical developments have increased the importance of renewable energy investments, stating that they focus on projects that will contribute to Turkey's energy independence.
Işık emphasized that investments in domestic and renewable energy sources have strategic importance in reducing energy imports, strengthening supply security and sustainable development.
Over 274 MW installed capacity
Metgün Enerji currently operates renewable energy plants with an installed capacity of 274.44 MW.
The company aims to expand its production portfolio through project development, capacity increases and acquisitions while evaluating investment opportunities domestically and internationally.
Energy storage investments coming to the fore
Reminding that according to the International Energy Agency (IEA) forecasts, the share of renewable sources in electricity generation is expected to reach 60 percent by 2030, Uğur Işık stated that Turkey has accelerated solar and wind investments in line with its National Energy Plan.
Metgün Enerji also positions energy storage projects and hybrid plant investments as core components of its growth strategy in this context.
Environmental sustainability at the center of investments
The company places importance on environmental sustainability practices alongside renewable energy investments.
According to Metgün Enerji's statement;
Approximately 6,000 trees and saplings were planted under WPP projects,
Approximately 10,000 trees and saplings were planted under HEP projects.
The company states that it conducts all production activities in accordance with environmental legislation, Turkish Sustainability Reporting Standards and international standards.
