DowDuPont Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ed Breen said: "Each business has aggressively managed the levers under our control and benefited from our strong foundation in the face of isolated headwinds, including unprecedented adverse weather conditions, margin compression in key value chains, and challenging conditions in automotive and smartphone markets.

With an additional $400 million in cost savings realized in this quarter, we have progressed our cost synergies and completed our $3 billion share repurchase program with $1.6 billion in repurchases during this quarter."
