Pioneer Metal Finishing Acquires Indianhead Plating
Pioneer Metal Finishing, a portfolio company of Aterian Investment Partners, announced the acquisition of Indianhead Plating, Inc.
Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Indianhead is a leading chrome plating provider in the Upper Midwest. Indianhead supplies chrome plating, coil services, cylindrical grinding and other related processes to customers across national agricultural, heavy equipment and general industrial end markets.
John Altmann, Owner of Indianhead, said: "I believe this is an excellent fit for the Indianhead Plating and Pioneer team, growing as a strategic consolidator of market leaders in the plating and coating industry. I am confident in our shared commitment to delivering high-quality surfaces. While providing a wonderful home for our employees, the services we deliver to our customers make this a perfect combination."
Daniel Krasnow, Director at Aterian, said: "It's great to partner with the Indianhead team. They have built a great business based on Pioneer's strategy to add processes and capabilities to our North American footprint."
Brandon Bethea, Founder and Partner at Aterian, said: "Since our initial investment in Pioneer, our goal has been to acquire substantially larger metal finishing businesses with differentiated capabilities to build a strategically unique platform in the space. Pioneer has now completed three acquisitions of this kind. We hope to continue to advance and grow this platform both organically and through acquisition. To date, every acquisition completed by Pioneer has been a family or founder-owned business, and this dynamic aligns very well with Aterian's established family or founder-owned acquisition practice." Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP advised Pioneer on the transaction.Advertisement
