28–29 May 2019, 19:00
As part of the exhibition "From Ink: Interpretations from Contemporary Chinese Art," which brings a cross-section of Chinese contemporary art to audiences, Pera Müzesi is organizing a special workshop-performance program. The program, which will take place in the exhibition space, will bring together participants in two separate events under the direction of Taldans, composed of Mustafa Kaplan and Filiz Sızanlı. Adding a new event to those organized as part of the "From Ink: Interpretations from Contemporary Chinese Art" exhibition, Pera Müzesi's Taldans, which will conduct two separate performance-based workshops within the program, invites participants to an experience using paper, pen, and the body. Taldans, which adapted the Ritual project for a Precise Geography, a joint production with French choreographer Julie Nioche, to the exhibition, will create a map with participants in this first event titled Movement of Line / Line of Movement: Network, drawing on the associations of three words that define the exhibition. Beginning at 19:00 on Tuesday, 28 May, participants will transform lines and writing into movement, exploring the possibilities of creating a structure together and being together. The workshop titled Movement of Line / Line of Movement: On the Road will become a collective work through Taldans's performance and active participation of the audience. Beginning at 19:00 on Wednesday, 29 May, participants will create drawings emphasizing continuity on interconnected structures established in the exhibition space.Advertisement
