Türk Ytong Celebrates 61st Anniversary in Turkey

Türk Ytong, serving in Turkey since 1963, celebrates its 61st year in the building materials sector. Founded in 1963 and beginning production in 1965, the company now operates 5 factories, employs 576 people, and holds a global leadership position among countries producing Ytong products with an annual production capacity of 2 million cubic meters.
 
Ceremonies marking the 61st anniversary were held simultaneously at the management headquarters in Istanbul as well as at Ytong's factories in Antalya, Çatalca, Bilecik, Trakya and Dilovası. At the ceremonies attended by company partners, executives and employees, long-service awards were distributed to employees who served for extended periods under the Türk Ytong umbrella. Board Chairman Fethi Hinginar was among the recipients of long-service awards, receiving a 45-year plaque. 

Türk Ytong Board Chairman Fethi Hinginar, noting that they have provided uninterrupted products and services for 61 years, stated: "In the 101st year of the founding of the Turkish Republic, we are also celebrating the 101st year of Ytong, which gave its name to gas concrete. As Türk Ytong, we feel the honor of celebrating our 61st year and the pride of being the world's largest Ytong producer. We remember with gratitude our company founders and everyone who contributed to Ytong, whether they are alive today or have left us." 
 
Speaking at the ceremony in Istanbul, Türk Ytong Board Chairman Fethi Hinginar conveyed that when Türk Ytong started out in 1963, no one in Turkey's construction sector knew about the gas concrete product, and since those years they have focused on explaining the advantages that Ytong provides in residential and industrial facilities.

Hinginar stated: "Ytong has been pioneering from day one in building healthy and safe homes in our country with environment and energy-friendly, breathable, lightweight building materials. It has been the address of modernity, quality and innovation. We not only provided services but also got our hands dirty and produced. We created added value. Today we have a new partnership structure. We are continuing our work under the Nakkaş Holding umbrella, which represents a very important potential for Turkey in logistics, energy and mining sectors. I would like to thank them once again for the great confidence they have shown in our company and our employees. This new structure will bring great benefits to Nakkaş Holding, our company and the national economy."
