Alışan Lojistik Publishes Second Sustainability Report

Celebrating its 40th year in the sector this year and operating under the PSA Group umbrella since 2023, Alışan Lojistik has released its 2024 Sustainability Report, demonstrating its commitment to sustainability. Prepared with a broad perspective covering business practices, environmental responsibility, employee rights and technological adaptation, the report outlines the company's sustainable future targets and concrete steps taken toward these goals.

Measurable Results in Energy, Emissions and Operational Transformation
Alışan Lojistik achieved concrete results in energy efficiency, emissions reduction and digitalization throughout 2024 by integrating environmental targets into operational processes. The company achieved a 16.08% reduction in carbon emissions, while an eco-friendly fleet transformation, transition to paperless systems and facility-based energy investments contributed directly to sustainability performance. Solar energy investments initiated at the Konya facility now cover 25% of electricity from renewable sources. The company aims to expand this transformation to at least 50% of all facilities by 2030.

Another highlight of the year was occupational health and safety. Alışan Lojistik fully achieved its target of zero fatal and disabling workplace accidents throughout 2024. Accident severity rate decreased by 84.57%, while occupational safety training hours increased by 75%. With the transition to the HRWEB system, all human resources processes moved to the digital environment. Leave, expense and exemption procedures are now conducted entirely paperless. During the same period, circular economy principles were actively implemented across all facilities through source separation of waste, disposal in legal compliance with licensed firms and increased recovery rates.

Strong Steps in Social Responsibility
Alışan Lojistik, taking concrete steps in social responsibility and environmental sustainability, strengthened its commitment in these areas with measurable achievements in 2024. The company increased the proportion of female employees by 5.6% compared to the 2021 baseline year and continues to progress toward its target of raising this ratio to 20% by 2030. During the same period, in line with the company's emphasis on environmental sustainability training, training hours per employee increased by 68.06%. In social responsibility projects reflecting the company's focus on public benefit, initiatives supporting young people and students came to the fore.

Transparency, Accountability and Continuous Improvement
Commenting on their second sustainability report, Alışan Lojistik CEO Damla Alışan stated, "In setting our 2030 targets, we adopted a realistic, measurable and sustainable vision. We take great pride in seeing with concrete data that we have not merely set targets but are advancing steadily toward them. As part of our efforts to reduce total waste by 30% by 2030, we achieved a significant reduction of 61.19% in waste volume by end of 2024 compared to 2021, and 61.62% compared to 2023. This process, supported by source separation of waste, legal disposal through licensed firms and increased recovery rates, demonstrates how effectively our company is implementing circular economy principles."

Alışan also noted that the report demonstrates how the company has centered sustainability in its operations, reduced environmental impacts, contributed to society and upheld ethical management practices.
