L'Oréal to Revolutionize Skin Care with Cell BioPrint Technology

Techno-beauty leader L'Oréal Group unveiled the L'Oréal Cell BioPrint device at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2025, set to bring a revolutionary innovation to skin care. Using advanced proteomic science, the portable device makes it possible to understand the skin's aging process and offer the most suitable care solutions for individual needs, providing personalized skin analysis in a short time.

Techno-beauty leader L'Oréal Group unveiled the L'Oréal Cell BioPrint device at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2025, bringing a revolutionary innovation in skin care. The portable device enables understanding of skin aging processes and delivering tailored care solutions by utilizing advanced proteomics science to provide personalized skin analysis in a short time.

L'Oréal is introducing a new era in skin care through the Cell BioPrint device, which presents technology examining how bodily mechanisms affect skin appearance. The device, unveiled at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2025, is planned to enter pilot implementation in Asia later this year.

The device calculates how quickly skin ages and offers personalized recommendations to slow aging signs, while predicting how specific active ingredients will affect the skin to assist in proper product selection. It also identifies potential skin problems before they appear, such as dark spots or enlarged pores, and recommends preventive measures. Delivering personalized skin assessment within minutes, the L'Oréal Cell BioPrint device provides important information about skin aging and care.

Regarding the device developed with support from L'Oréal's Longevity Integrative Science technology and Korean startup NanoEnTek, Barbara Lavernos, Deputy General Manager responsible for Research, Innovation and Technology at L'Oréal Group, stated: "As L'Oréal, we continually shape the future of beauty. Skin plays a major role in people's health and wellbeing. With Cell BioPrint, we aim to enable people to make more informed and personalized decisions about skin care through in-depth skin analysis. This device makes it possible not only to protect skin health and beauty but also to contribute to longevity."

Analysis Within 5 Minutes

L'Oréal's Advanced Research team discovered for the first time the biomarkers of healthy and young-looking skin, opening the way to analyze skin aging more accurately and quickly. Using this innovative technology, L'Oréal Cell BioPrint, with NanoEnTek's biological fluid-analyzing fibers, can measure the presence of biomarkers in skin within five minutes.

Skin Analysis Made Simple

The device is used by placing patches on the skin and dipping them in buffer solution. After placing the solution in the device's cartridge and starting the analysis, the L'Oréal Cell BioPrint processes the samples while the Skin Connect device takes several photographs of the person's face to complete skin analysis.

L'Oréal: Techno-Beauty Brand Essential to CES Innovation Awards

L'Oréal, with 9 CES Innovation Awards, has been recognized for its HAPTA, Brow Magic, Hair Reader, Person Skin, Absolue Dual-LED Youth Treatment, E-Shade Finder, Water Saver, and Rouge Sur Mesure devices. L'Oréal was the first beauty company to deliver the opening speech of CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2024.

Rising Demand for Personalized Skin Care

The global skin care market is expected to reach USD 125 billion as of 2024. This growth stems from consumers' continued search for more information and more effective products for their unique skin. According to a recent survey, approximately 80% of 2,000 skin care users in the US resort to trial-and-error methods to find the most suitable product for their skin care. This demonstrates how much the need for personalized skin care solutions has increased.
