Pioneers of Robotic Surgery to Meet in Dalaman-Sarıgerme

IURES 2025 Congress, a leading global event in the field of robotic surgery, will be held by Society between 6-9 November in Dalaman Sarıgerme, Muğla.
IURES 2025 Congress, a pioneering global event in robotic surgery, will take place in Dalaman Sarıgerme, affiliated with Muğla, between 6-9 November.
Organized by the International Urological Research Society (IURES), the congress will bring together innovations and technologies shaping the future of robotic surgery with participants. All current robotic surgical systems used worldwide will be presented together at the congress.
Participants will have the opportunity to examine and experience these systems firsthand. Current information on the latest technologies and applications in robotic surgery will be provided. Information will also be shared from internationally renowned urologists on robotic kidney transplantation.
All robotic surgical systems under one roof
The congress will be held with the support of international platforms such as the European Association of Urology, American Urological Association, European Association of Robotic Urology, International Prostate Forum, European School of Urology and International Continence Society. The 2nd Balkan Urology Session will also be organized within the scope of the event.
A historic moment: Live connection with the operating room
Prof. Dr. Öner Şanlı, IURES Association President from Istanbul University Medical School Department of Urology, and Congress Presidents Prof. Dr. Emre Huri from Hacettepe University Medical School Department of Urology and Prof. Dr. Erdem Canda from Koç University Medical School Department of Urology, in a joint statement about the congress, emphasized that the event will be a historic turning point in robotic surgery.
Prof. Dr. Emre Huri, drawing attention to the live operating room connection, one of the most striking events of the congress, stated: "A live connection will be established from the congress center to an operating room in a hospital using a robotic system. Through this connection, a surgical operation will be performed remotely for the first time. Participants will be able to observe real-time applications of robotic surgery and witness the transformative impact of the technology on the healthcare sector."
Hands-on experience through practical training
Prof. Dr. Erdem Canda also emphasized the importance of practical training at the congress. Canda noted: "The training will use models produced with 3D printer technology and state-of-the-art simulators. Participants will have the opportunity to experience robotic surgical applications firsthand and develop their skills. This is an important step in training the surgeons of the future."
IURES: Pioneer in Robotic Surgery
Prof. Dr. Öner Şanlı also commented on IURES's mission. Noting that the association promotes international cooperation in robotic surgery and develops innovative approaches aimed at improving healthcare services, Şanlı stated: "Our organization pioneered the development of surgical technologies, the organization of training programs and global knowledge sharing. With the IURES 2025 Congress, we are taking this mission a step further."
