Rising health awareness, the spread of preventive healthcare approaches, and developments in domestic production capacity are accelerating the growth of Turkey's dietary supplements sector. According to IQVIA data, the sector grew by 56.7% in value terms in 2025, reaching a market size of TRY 29.9 billion.
Market growth has been driven particularly by strong performance in the magnesium, vitamin D, iron and Omega-3 categories, while R&D investments, innovative product development efforts and consumers' shift towards functional products ranked among the key factors supporting sector expansion.
Sustaining Global Market Growth
The dietary supplements market continues to expand not only in Turkey but also on a global scale. The global market is estimated to have reached USD 200-210 billion in 2025, with average annual growth of 6-10% expected in the coming years. Some international analyses forecast that the market will maintain double-digit growth momentum through 2030.
The shift towards natural ingredients, the "clean label" approach, strengthening preventive healthcare practices and demand for functional products are cited as the primary dynamics of global growth.
Domestic Production and R&D Fuel the Sector
In Turkey, rising health awareness, development of domestic production capacity and R&D investments support sector growth. While pharmacies remain the primary sales channel, rapid development in e-commerce channels increases product accessibility and contributes to market expansion.
Looking at market distribution, the vitamin category maintains its leadership with a 31.3% share, while immunity-focused products remain an important segment with 14.4% market share. Adults constitute the largest user group at 62.2%.
Magnesium Category Emerges as Fastest-Growing Segment
In 2025, the most striking growth in the sector occurred in the magnesium category. The category delivered above-average performance with 106.5% growth in value terms.
Experts point to intensive work schedules, changing lifestyle habits and increasing interest in products supporting healthy living as determining factors in this growth.
Interest Rising in Vitamin D, Iron and Omega-3
The vitamin D category grew 72.09% in value terms in 2025, the iron category grew 82.66%, and the Omega-3 category recorded 67.38% growth in value.
Consumers are placing greater emphasis not only on ingredient content but also on bioavailability, ease of use, product technology and quality standards when selecting products. These factors rank among the key drivers supporting growth in these categories.
Meanwhile, the gummy vitamin segment is expected to be among the fastest-growing categories during 2025-2030, while prenatal health products are also emerging as a rising segment.
Consumer Confidence Strengthens
Evaluating the sector, Orzax CEO Yunus Emre Alimoğlu noted that according to GTBD and XSights research, dietary supplement use in Turkey and confidence in the sector have increased significantly.
According to the research, the proportion of respondents stating they had used at least one dietary supplement in the previous three months rose from 49.2% to 74.8%, while confidence in the category increased from 60% to 77%. The rise of the perception that "sufficient oversight is being conducted" from 23% to 52% during the same period indicates strengthening transparency and confidence in the sector.

"Scientific approach, quality and innovative technologies rank among the key factors determining sector growth. As Orzax, we achieved above-market performance with 83.06% growth in the vitamin D category and 101.1% growth in the iron category in value terms.
