Sanipak Enters New Era Under Arch Peninsula

Sanipak's acquisition by Arch Peninsula has been officially completed following the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals. In the new period, the company aims to accelerate its international growth, drawing on its strong manufacturing infrastructure in Turkey and Morocco and its long-established brands.

Sanipak's process of joining Arch Peninsula has formally concluded with all necessary regulatory approvals completed. In the new phase, the company aims to accelerate international growth, drawing strength from its robust production infrastructure in Turkey and Morocco as well as its established brands.

Sanipak, one of Turkey's leading manufacturers of hygiene and cleaning papers, announced that its process of joining Arch Peninsula has been completed following receipt of all legal approvals. With this, the company has entered a new growth phase as part of one of the world's leading integrated cellulose, paper and packaging production groups.

The combination of Arch Peninsula's global scale and production expertise with Sanipak's strong brand portfolio will further enhance the company's competitive strength and growth capacity in international markets. In the new phase, Sanipak will continue to strengthen its leading position in the cleaning papers category, accelerate its growth in personal care and home care categories, and bring innovative products to consumers that meet world standards.

"A strategic move for our regional growth objectives"
Nishant Grover, Co-Chair of Investments of the Group and Chairman of the Board of Sanipak, made the following remarks regarding the process:

"Sanipak is a company with solid foundations through its strong brands, experienced team and modern production infrastructure in Turkey and Morocco. This transaction marks the beginning of a new era in Sanipak's growth journey, while holding strategic importance for our objective of expanding our portfolio in the region. In the coming period, we will focus on supporting Sanipak's innovation capacity and increasing the regional reach of its brands. In doing so, we will continue to deliver superior experiences to our consumers while creating long-term value for our business partners."

"Our investments in Turkey and Morocco will continue"
Sanipak CEO Bülent Kozlu noted that the new phase presents significant opportunities for the company and stated:

"This new era holds important opportunities for our company, our employees, the users of our brands and our business partners. Over our approximately 60-year journey, we have built strong brands that have created their own categories and earned the trust of consumers. Over the past four years, we have doubled our turnover in foreign currency, increased our market share in Turkey, expanded our export network and grown our operations in Morocco.

We aim to take this success further by leveraging our new shareholder's global scale and expertise. We will continue to invest in our production infrastructure in Turkey and Morocco, our brands and our export capacity. While creating long-term value for all our stakeholders, we will continue to increase our contribution to employment and economic growth in Turkey and further strengthen Sanipak's regional leadership objective."

In the acquisition transaction, Barclays Bank PLC served as financial adviser, while legal advisory services were conducted by Paksoy and Mehigan. Dome Financial Advisors handled the structuring of debt financing, while EY Turkey undertook financial and tax due diligence work.
