Zero Waste Blue Project Graduates Its First Participants

The Zero Waste Blue Project, launched in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and Selpak Professional, has produced its first graduates. The first three hotels to successfully complete the training received their certificates at a gala organized by POYD (Association of Professional Hotel Managers).

The Zero Waste Blue Project, launched through collaboration between the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and Selpak Professional, has graduated its first cohort. Three hotels that successfully completed the training received their certificates at the POYD (Professional Hotel Managers Association) gala event.

Hotel managers from across Turkey gathered at the POYD gala event held under Selpak Professional sponsorship.

At the event, three hotels that successfully completed their training under the Zero Waste Blue Education Project, launched through collaboration between the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and Selpak Professional, received their certificates. Lara Barut Collection, Sherwood Exclusive Lara and Belconti Resort Hotel were recognized for their achievements in the Zero Waste Blue Education Project. The certificates were presented by Semih İlker Sanaç, Deputy Director General of Environmental Management at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and Halide Sancar, Director of Eczacıbaşı Professional Business Unit.

Zero Waste Blue Education Project Provides Training to Tourism Sector Employees

In the Zero Waste Blue Education Project, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and Selpak Professional conduct awareness training for employees in the tourism sector in coastal provinces. Employees of tourism enterprises participating in the project receive training prepared with the contributions of Boğaziçi University Sustainable Development and Clean Production Centre, under Selpak Professional. Enterprises completing the training receive ministry-approved certificates. The training is accessible through Selpak Professional's online learning platform. The Zero Waste Blue Education Project, established with the aim of protecting seas and water resources and promoting zero-waste principles in the tourism sector, seeks to provide employees of enterprises operating in the tourism sector with knowledge on waste management and develop environmentally friendly usage habits.MANŞET
