The Atlas Logistics Awards 2024 ceremony was held on 21 November 2024, Thursday. In the organization where 103 selected candidates competed, 25 companies and logistics sector executives received their awards.
At the awards ceremony, five companies that contributed to production, domestic and foreign trade activities and created business potential for the transport and logistics industry were also presented with the "Contribution to Logistics Award" as the gratitude of the logistics sector. This year's Contribution to Logistics Award, presented for the ninth time, recognized Türk Ytong alongside Eczacıbaşı Vitra, İnoksan, and Orka Holding.
Türk Ytong Board Chairman Fethi Hinginar made the following remarks at the awards ceremony: "As Türk Ytong, we are celebrating our 61st year in Turkey. We are positioned as Turkey's first autoclaved aerated concrete producer and one of the most established industrial companies. We are the company that laid the foundations of the autoclaved aerated concrete sector in Turkey and gave the product its name. Earthquake-resistant and environmentally friendly construction, energy efficiency and sustainability are the subjects to which we are specialists and give priority. We are a brand that pioneered the construction of modern, healthy and safe residential buildings in our country. Our products manufactured in our five factories in Istanbul, Kocaeli, Bilecik, Antalya and Tekirdağ reach our dealers and construction sites throughout Turkey. We have a logistics potential of approximately 40,000 vehicles annually and over 1 million tons. From procurement to production and subsequently to logistics, every stage operates with great care and attention, and we set an example for our sector with our work. In this context, the Contribution to Logistics Award we received is very valuable for us.
Since 1965, the energy savings achieved from thermal insulation in homes built with Ytong in Turkey have provided foreign currency savings exceeding USD 10 billion. We obtained "Environmental Label" (EPD) certification for our products and achieved a first in this regard. We are the first brand in Turkey to receive an independent EPD certificate for the sector. As Ytong, we have always attached importance to sustainable construction. We took care to develop our products and production technology in a way that would not harm the environment. I am pleased that the Contribution to Logistics Award we received from you will serve as an example to our sector as an indication of the importance we place on quality, care and modernity."
