Şeyma Bahşi Appointed New General Manager of Astellas Türkiye

Şeyma Bahşi, who has successfully served as General Manager of Astellas Singapore & Malaysia since 2020 and has over 22 years of experience in the healthcare sector, has been appointed as the new General Manager of Astellas Turkey. A senior appointment has taken place at Astellas Pharma Turkey, which operates as a pioneer of change in healthcare with a vision of transforming innovative science into value for society. Şeyma Bahşi, who has served as General Manager of Singapore & Malaysia at Astellas since July 2020, was appointed to the position of General Manager of Astellas Turkey as of 1 September 2023. In her new role, Bahşi will work as a member of the International Markets Leadership Team, reporting to the Astellas International Markets Regional Director.

Who is Şeyma Bahşi?

Şeyma Bahşi joined Astellas Turkey in 2016 as Sales Director and led sales teams and the commercial excellence team across four therapeutic areas during her tenure in Turkey. Appointed to the position of General Manager of Astellas Singapore & Malaysia in 2020, Bahşi contributed to the successful implementation of strategic initiatives and the growth of the organization. Bahşi created a comprehensive commercial strategy and roadmap for the Singapore & Malaysia organization and led the merger of operations and transformation of the organization across both countries. By managing all commercial activities, she achieved significant increases in revenue and profitability. Bahşi holds a bachelor's degree from Marmara University Department of Health Management and an MBA from Galatasaray University. Prior to joining Astellas, she has over 22 years of sector experience gained in various commercial positions at Merck, Abdi İbrahim and Eczacıbaşı Pharma.
