Pierre Fabre Turkey Announces Key Executive Appointment Dr. Hande Demirdere, who has served as General Manager of Pierre Fabre Turkey since 2017, has been appointed General Manager of Pierre Fabre United Kingdom and Ireland. Pierre Fabre, among France's largest companies and a leading player in oncology, pharmaceuticals, family healthcare and dermocosmetics operating in 43 countries worldwide, has appointed Dr. Hande Demirdere to lead its United Kingdom and Ireland operations, which encompass England, Scotland, Iceland and Ireland. Demirdere has served as General Manager of Pierre Fabre Turkey for six years. Dr. Hande Demirdere stated: "I am experiencing the sadness of leaving my country and the valued team I have worked with for many years. On the other hand, I am experiencing the joy and excitement of being appointed as a Turkish woman to a position that is very important for Pierre Fabre and following a rigorous selection process for managing five countries." Dr. Hande Demirdere noted that the numerous successes achieved with the Turkish team over six years played a significant role in this important appointment and thanked the team in Turkey. After graduating from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1997 and completing specialist training in Internal Medicine at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 2001, Dr. Hande Demirdere began her career as Medical Manager at Novartis and continued in positions including Group Medical Manager and Product Manager at Novartis. Following her role as Group Medical Manager at Boehringer Ingelheim, she joined Abbott in 2007, serving in middle and senior management positions in Sales and Marketing functions for two years in Turkey and six years in Russia. After taking an active role as Business Unit Director at Takeda between 2015-2017, Dr. Hande Demirdere began her position as General Manager at Pierre Fabre Turkey Pharmaceutical Company. From 2020, she was also appointed General Manager of Pierre Fabre Turkey Dermocosmetics Company, becoming the first person in company history to manage both pharmaceutical and dermocosmetics companies under a single structure. Dr. Hande Demirdere was appointed General Manager of Pierre Fabre United Kingdom and Ireland in May 2023. Married with one daughter, Dr. Hande Demirdere will continue her work as General Manager responsible for the management of five countries in her new position.
